Picnic

About

Picnic: a noun, a state of mind, and now, a café in Jackson Hole.

Story

The food. The friends. The sun. The setting. The adventure. The vastness. As if by magic, all the world feels aligned at a picnic. The outdoors. Ourselves. To conjure more of those moments, we created Picnic.

Every element of Picnic pays tribute to a transporting moment, the feeling of being moved by place, our place, our home, Jackson Hole. A valley imbued with vast freedom. A valley inviting everyone to be more themselves, relaxed yet aware, joyful and grateful. Ever awed by nature, ever flush with adventurous ambition, ever seeking the serenity found outside.

A pastime immersed in place, in the personality and peace of the Tetons. Pattern, texture, color, contour: The design draws upon the layered lives lived outdoors: the worn leather of saddles; the faded denim of the JH uniform; the splintered beauty of fallen timber. Nature transposed indoors; an interior transporting us to memories outdoors.
Picnic: a noun, a state of mind, and now, a café.

MENU
Picnics are rarely fancy, always thoughtful. Less fuss, more fun. Packing a meal requires care and creativity, as does making a café menu attune to efficiency and enjoyment. Such is the ethos of our bright menu: childhood breakfasts of toast (now with savory and sweet toppings); a biscuit sandwich, perfect for backpacks; a lunch box of a fresh salad and baguette sandwich; pastries enjoyed all day (stick buns, biscuits, quick breads). There’s always plenty of food at Picnic, plenty of moments for fresh and wholesome fun.

I was excited to try this place out. Food was good but they serve sysco concentrate orange juice which ruined the whole vibe. Really? Sysco fake orange juice? And then high fructose corn syrup ketchup. What a letdown. That is like chemical food replacement. I won't be coming back. Stay clear. What other ingredients are they putting into the food if they don't care about even the basics.
Picnic in Jackson is a charming cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. Their cappuccino was rich and flavorful, the perfect pick-me-up. The avocado toast was equally delicious, generously topped with fresh ingredients. It's a great spot to grab a quick bite or linger over coffee and conversation.
Great spot, will return. We found the sausage bland for our taste otherwise we cleaned our plates. Some reviews state they found the Cuban sandwich a bit too crispy, I could see what they mean but it needs some crunch. I just pulled a shot at home but my partners latte was very nice, not too sweet and the micro foam was perfect. The best latte ive had out here. It was caramel I prefer plain w/ whole milk. On the pricey side as we basically ordered for 2 with 2 sandwiches, a side, a latte, and treat for just under $60 w/ tip. Saw many friendly interactions between guests and employees. Nice vibes worth the stop.
A little off the main road and worth finding! Baked goods are amazing, lunch was delicious, coffee hit the spot. What a find, wanted another Cuban.
This is by far the best breakfast spot I’ve had in all of the land of Wyoming! I was indecisive so I got a bunch of options both savory and sweet treats! The banana bread situation was stellar and the burrito was also a hog and very good!
