Went during happy hour so small plates were half priced. The truffle fries and the fried artichokes were so good. Even better half priced ; Wish they had more cocktails on the menu but the drinks were enjoyable. Patio is kind of loud but it’s such a convenient spot!
It’s a cute little place, service was okish. I would say we had to wait a little at the beginning probably cause it was too busy later on, the guy who served wine was very knowledgeable and helpful. I liked our server in the second half she was friendly and interactive. Wasn’t too bad after all. And the truffle fries were tasty!
The food absolutely matches such a "the spot to be" ambiance. The cocktails are one of the best I have ever had around Toronto. I have been recommending Piccolo to all my girls.Food: 5/5
This was such a fun find! It’s a wine bar by evening and amazing cafe/restaurant by day! They do brunch on weekends too that is fab. You have to order the truffle fries!!! Also the staff could not have been friendlier. We’ll over the top service from each staff member we encountered. Will Defs be back
Popped in on a Saturday hoping to find some food and drink and was not disappointed! All the food items we ordered were phenomenal albeit on the small side. Though I totally understand the why as I got snack bar vibes from this place. Indoors on a weekend was a little packed for my personal liking but seemed like a great time! Maybe an occasion for another evening ; Even though it was bustling the staff radiated joviality and still made me and my sister feel taken care of!
I was here this morning and the staff listened to my tale of woe and offered me a free coffee. I did not.accept it, but, came back for wine and an eggplant sandwich. So good. Great spot at Adelaide and John. Coffee, wine and small bites. Just wanted to say thank you for making my day!
I only went to this place at night. It's a very nice place to drink wine, chat, listen to good music and meet people. The staff are wonderful, they welcome you very well. Ben is very nice guy.
My friend and I stumbled across this restaurant while wandering Toronto, its aroma and energy drew us in and we decided to sit down and have a drink when we previously had no intention of doing so. This experience made our night as our server, the beers and truffle fries all made for a memorable experience and we fell in love with the atmosphere. There’s nothing like wandering Toronto and stumbling across a hidden gem, I highly implore you to try Piccolo Caffe E Vino out!
Went here for date night. From the previous reviews, I was really excited about it, but unfortunately the food was so disappointing. We got three things from the "large shareables": burrata with peaches and mint, truffle risotto, and octopus with potatoes. All of them sounded good on paper but were executed poorly. The potatoes were like diner-style home fries nothing wrong with that, but I'd expect more for the price and the octopus was overcooked/tough. The risotto was described as al dente but it was just undercooked to the point of still being crunchy. The burrata itself had good flavours but they used canned peaches which, again, is not bad but I would expect way more for the price. Really unfortunate, as all the staff were really nice and I think the ideas of the dishes are good. Maybe it was an off day, because other reviewers seem to think the food is amazing. We also had 2 glasses of wine. I appreciate the variety & selection but honestly neither glass was super interesting.
The people who work in this cozy and warm cafe/bar are just amazing. They also sell a great collection of wines and beers.Food: 4/5
