Amazing food and great atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful. Burger love was amazing!
Came here a couple of weeks ago and food/service was awesome. We came back tonight and waited 25 minutes and couldn't even get a drink so we walked out. As we were walking out the girl who sat us just smiled and said "see you later". It wasn't busy, there were only 5 other tables full and 3 waitresses. Super disappointed as this was supposed to be our anniversary dinner and I'm 25 weeks pregnant and was craving the meal I got last time. Will not be back... Went somewhere nicer that was busier and got served right away. Consistency is key.
I feel like my review is long overdue here. This is the place where me and my wife exchanged rings. Rose is always so welcoming. I used to live in Stratford so it was only about 4-5 minutes drive and favourite spot for us for a late breakfast date. Unlike downtown spots there is a huge space for parking so you never have to worry about it. All kinds of options on the menu. And servers are always helpful in case you need to customize your order and have special instructions for the kitchen. Love this place. Next time when I go back to PEI. This is be my go to place again.
Welcome to the new owners!!! Enjoyed the new menu! Chicken wings breaded were very good as was their crispy chicken sandwich with coleslaw. I upgraded to their sweet potato fries, which are waffle and PERFECT! Dip for them was yummy. Shared the donut bread pudding which was ah-mazing!!! I will be back! Emily, our server was friendly and very good at her job. Also, the other server stopped to see to our needs... you KNOW a it's a good, well run, team oriented restaurant when other servers stop to help or clear, also! Kudos!!!
We had a bad experience on our first time here so we thought we would give it a second try. Both times our orders were wrong and both times the food was not good at all. The service is great though. I do not recommend this place at all and my family will not go back there again.
We were disappointed that the breakfast menu is gone Monday to Friday and they only open at 11am. The staff are still excellent and friendly. We think these changes are a big mistake. Only minimal customers there between 11am and noon compared to previous years.
Their burger love is enjoyable, they even won one year. Other than that, they also offer delicious curry chicken buttery, rich, and a little bit sweet. The price is reasonable for the quality and amount of food. The staff is very friendly, offering great service. They have quite different tables and settings for different groups
Great atmosphere and new menu. I got the mac & cheese and didn't love it! I will still definitely go back and try something else though! Vegetarian options: I remember seeing stir-fry as one option! Kid-friendliness: There is a kid menu portion !
Just got back from having breakfast at Phinley's. Don't waste your time or money. The dishes are overpriced and the food is the worst we have ever had for breakfast. We waited quite a while for food 30 minutes, the restaurant not overly busy, food was not hot when it got to the table. I ordered eggs benny, there was at most a drizzle of hollandaise sauce on it so I asked for more and then my server never came back with any. They are serving up hashbrowns patties more disgusting then McDonald's nobody wants these on their plate when they think they are getting hashbrowns. Sausages were overcooked and taste gross. The cinnamon toast bites didn't come with whip cream like it says on the menu, which isn't a huge deal but the dish should come as explained on the menu. We had charges on our bill for extra hashbrowns that no one ordered. Just so disappointed.
First impression: really great hostess who seated us quickly. Unfortunately that wore off as our server took so long to get to us for drinks that we almost left. By the time she came to get our drink order we were ready to order mains. We only saw her again when she dropped off our plates and when she cleaned up the empties. No dropping in to see how things were, no drink refills. She was nice, but the whole place seemed like it was working in slow motion. The food was stock standard pub food. Breakfast burger sounded better on the menu, but it wasn't offensive. Just not as gourmet or flavourful as I'd hoped. The strip clams were probably frozen from a bag. We got an ice cream to go from the dairy bar on the way out and the hostess who seated us served us this time. SHE was great! Young blonde girl whose name I didn't get - she should be running the front of house. Quick and friendly! All in all, not a disaster of an experience by any stretch, but even for a simple pub meal the slow service food took a while to come out as well kind of makes it hard to recommend. If you're really hungry in Stratford, it will do. But it's not really a destination worth the drive from Charlottetown.
