This has to be one of the most well designed and spacious bus exchanges in town. Most past exchanges are dirty and or not well taken care of, but this is unlike any other I have been to. It is well designed with flower pots and trees in and around the area. It is also very easy to access off the ironworkers memorial Bridge, and makes it a convenient location for commuters.
The transit access is super convenient, making it easy to connect to key parts of the city. Whether you’re commuting to campus, exploring Vancouver, or just getting around, the Exchange is well-organized and efficient.
Damn. Now this is a bus stop.nI mean, there aren't really sufficient superlatives to do justice to it. Most bus stops don't do much more than tick the boxes implied by the name. Buses stop there.nBut then there's Phibbs Exchange which has that ineffable hidden-gem quality that Sandra Bullock had when you first watched Speed on opening weekend; or Dubrovnik before Game of Thrones; or The Muppets when Henson made those great black and white commercial spots.nBuses don't just come and go from Phibbs Exchange, they DANCE like a Busby Berkley spectacle.nAnd the seats... my GOD! Go to Phibbs Exchange just for the seats. Take a picnic. You may not be inclined to leave.nThe buses themselves have all the charm of Hong Kong's White Star Ferry, but eschews the stain of being *merely* transit, as well as elevating your experience with state of the art 21st Century technology. It's like a sci-fi palanquin for you and 50 friends you haven't met yet.nnI cannot comment on the bike racks. I did not use them.
Came here by mistake, but it could be a good starting place for mountain biking on the North Shore. Well organized exchange lots of room. A good starting point for a lot of activities.
So much better than it used to be. The electronic schedule signs are fantastic. Looking forward to when the coffee shop opens up.
