This mansion was so beautiful! The tour guide was super nice and had a alot of knowledge about this homes history. The only downside is that there is mainly no air conditioning throughout the house.
Joined Joe and Maggie for their last tour of the day, and had the wonderful privilege of getting two tour guides all to ourselves! Joe is amazingly educated on the social and political history of the gilded age, of local architecture, and the other works of Isaac Perry and his cohorts. We were able to put the house in context with other major projects, the enterprises that made the money of the time, and relationships to benevolent organizations and the way they navigated sociopolitical issues like sufferage and wartime accommodations. I would suggest that visitors be engaged and ask questions, as these folks are a wealth of neat information and perspective. GREAT VISIT!

Had a great visit at Phelps. Our tour guide Joe was very knowledgeable and gave a great tour. He was also very nice and helpful picking out other local things to see during our day trip to Binghamton.
Absolutely stunning! The architecture is something like no other. Our tour guide was amazing and took her time with us. We will definitely return during the holiday season to see it all decorated.
Took a tour of this house because I am interested in historical architecture. The house is beautiful and there are many cool architectural details that I haven't seen before. The gentleman who led the tour was great, very knowledgeable about the area and the history of Binghamton. Definitely take a tour, it's well worth it!
Christmas Tour was entertaining and informative. Chelsea was a great guide and gave us lots of info on the origins of our American Christmas. The Phelps is an amazing place. The woodworking is awesome! I even found a few super clocks!
