My boyfriend and I stopped here earlier today around 7pm. Phalika's restaurant and ice cream window were both not busy at all, and we walked into the restaurant side to order as it was slightly chilly to wait outside at the window. The guy working was very friendly and nice, but did seem to be all by himself. He took a little while in the back grabbing the cones, but I never could've anticipated why- the size of these cones. On the left is the two scoop, on the right is the one scoop. The waffle cones were so fresh, the Chapman's ice cream was good as always, but it was the size of these things that surprised me. 100% bang for your buck here, definitely go here if big portions are important to you. If you can see my boyfriends hand compared to the cone, the ice cream is massive! Great experience and would honestly consider the drive to Devon to get this ice cream again!!
On 1st of January this New Year we found out that the town of Devon has a Thai restaurant, we had a chance to stop by earlier that day and had dinner there. The Pork Tom Yum Noodles are super delicious. Highly recommend. They also have delicious Ice Cream too
Phalika's Thai Food restaurant has been on my mind for a long while. Ever since my wife and I starting visiting Devon and ordering from Frickin Delights Donuts, we noticed Philika's and always thought about dining in. Not living in Devon, plus not being able to dine in for the longest time, we attempted to visit while my family came out to Devon with us many months later, but unfortunately they were closed due to them being away for holidays. I am very glad that we finally got the chance to dine in here! My wife and I shared a Pad Thai with chicken and Green Curry with beef. We were very impressed with the quantity and quality of the food for the reasonable prices. Thanks Phalika's for the excellent experience:
Okay, we've ordered Thai here before and we're happy with the freshness and great taste. We heard that the fish and chips were the best in Devon, so added an order recently and were pleased as well. Always will go back to the Thai food as it is so good, but the fish and chips and the ice cream are great too.
I went with my hiking trail partner after we hiked an hour long trail and had a great time taking pictures with their displays and other furniture. The food was very good and well priced. I will definitely be coming back. The only downside is a stagnant smell that is overpowered by the food when it arrives. You can eat-in or order take-out.
we wanted to try this place last summer but they were on vacation. We finally came back and yay the place was open and allowed dine-in! Food was sooo good. I usually order pod-thai for sure to see if the place serves right and it was delicious. Green curry was amazing too! I could not believe how smooth and sweet the curry sause was!
Love this Devon gem so much. My go to for a takeout night, all the Thai options are great with my particular favourites being the curries both red and green, the basil chicken, or the wonton soup. And the mango sticky rice is so delightful. Too many good things to say about this place. Food is priced well, and service is quick, but quality is always there; I have never been disappointed.
Phalikas is a regular eatery for us. Highly recommend Basil Stir-Fry and Cashew Chicken. If you have room, their ice cream is awesome too! A friendly local business!Food: 5/5
Red curry tasted great, just needed a smidge more rice and it would be perfect. Enjoyed the spring rolls as well.Food: 4/5
Order shrimp salad roll, was very gummy with barely any shrimp. The sauce container was 2/3 empty. I asked politely for more sauce because I barely got any compared to my friend who ordered the same and hers was full. The lady said it didn’t matter and if I wanted more I needed to pay an extra dollar. She did not care. They are also attached to the ice cream place. The younger man took their own tip out of the change back without asking if I wanted to tip. And put some of it in their tip jar. Will not go here again.
