Spent 40 min trying to call someone (option 3 and option 0) to get information about fish for my toddler. No answer after phone was ringing for 3 to 5 min on several attempts. Called the 1-888 number. Supervisor attempted to call location only to come back to me thinking I was the store employee. Wanted to escalate matter to head office. Well I am NOT wasting more time. Will be going elsewhere for my pet needs. Horrible experience. If I could rate a zero I would!

As usual a little pricey. Cat adoption centers are amazing. But they are third party affilliates. I would not suggest buying any type of animal from the petsmart themselves though. Any animal I have gotten from them always has a lower life span than one I have gotten from a breeder or smaller chain pet store. My bearded dragon was missing fingers and toes and got sick as soon as her first shed happened. She lived a year when they are supposed to live at least 6-10 years. Some staff are very knowledgeable, others know nothing at all. I used to work for the cat adoption and I can say that those cats are always looked after and constantly cared for by the affiliates. The animals that the store them selves sell are always poorly handled. And it took an hour for them to get me paperwork just to bring my lizard home when it should have been max 10 min. There also is not a lot of variety in accessories for your pet depending on what you have. Dogs and cats of course is everywhere. But any other animal, not so much. I needed a replacement bulb for my tank, they sell the entire lamp and bulb set, but do not just sell replacement bulbs for that type of lamp. I found it very redundant. so u can buy the set, but once it needs a bulb replacement, you would need to go online or to big Al's to get just the bulb without another lamp.

I've been to many other pet stores, even Big Al's. This location is by far my favourite because of Daryl who works in the fish center. He's very knowledgeable, and friendly. Every time I've been to the store, he has provided excellent service. Thanks Daryl!

My puppy loves this place and so do I. The staff is always so friendly, helpful and quite knowledgeable about their products and more. Also, the manager is the nicest store manager I've ever met. I recommend this place all the way.

We took our 4 month old pup to the Heartland Mississauga store for a puppy bath because they had availability and regret doing so. Our pup was visibly agitated when we picked him up. When we checked him in and asked about a face trim and were told this cannot be done at this time as only a groomer can do this. She told us this was a walk in service that we can come back for a another time. When I ask if a groomer was in to do this today she said yes but it would be a on a separate invoice. Why would they not suggest this rather than telling us to come back at a later date? We asked the face trim be done as well. We were told this session would take 2-3 hours which is fine but we got a call 30 minutes later that he was done. We were told that he threw up a few times so the they had to bath him and dry him a couple of times. All in 30 minutes??? As stated earlier he was very agitated when we picked him up. Without asking we were told no charge us for the bath which heightened my concern on what happened. He has previously had baths at the Hyde Park location and was clearly comfortable and affectionate towards the staff at that location. Not this time. We will continue to take him to the Hyde Park location even if the wait is over a week for booking as it is clearly worth in.
