Story

Petsense is a chain retail outlet store found in outlet malls and rural markets across the United States. The store specializes in pet supplies and pet services, but does not sell dogs and cats. Petsense does however, adopt animals through local city and/or county shelters.

The chain was founded by Jim Dougherty in 2004. Jim is no stranger to the pet retail industry, he is also the founder of PetSmart, which he began in 1986. The first Petsense store opened in October of 2004 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Petsense now operates stores in 21 states.

Our mission is to operate stores that are exciting and fun, staffed with friendly, knowledgeable associates passionate about making the pet lover's shopping, a world class experience. PetSense offers quality pet products at great prices. We operate our business at a level of integrity beyond reproach and promote responsible pet ownership through community involvement and education.

PetSense offers a wide variety of products including Nutro, Science Diet, Eukanuba, Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo, Kong, and Coastal. Product offerings vary by store, please see your local store for details.

The employees were very helpful to me and let me know what they carried at Petsense. So I don't have to go of town to get the kind of cat food and dog food I need for my pets😊

Can I give a zero? Awful customer service. We moved to the area and while there were cheaper places to purchase our animal food we decided to support them....wrong choice. We were never were super thrilled with their customer service but we purchased a few 6 bags of cat food then had to switch due to medical needs. They we purchased the three other bags and were told on our next visit we would get the 10th bag free. When we went in to pick up the 10th bag we were told it didn't apply because we switched brands. If that is your policy you need to be very clear and they were not!! Don't bother with this place....it's not worth it!

Love the ladies that work in this store! They are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I also love that this store carries the healthy pet food brands I am used to buying.

I love going to the Aberdeen, Washington store the staff are very friendly and helpful they are knowledgeable about their clients and pets needs as well. I highly recommend this store to everyone!

I cannot always come into the store in Aberdeen, WA because it is 10 miles away so it is a 20 mile trip to go to the store to get dog food. Our Petsense that I have been shopping at for a year or so will not allow customers to buy anything including dog food, over the phone with a credit or debit card and allow someone else to pick it up. I am required to drive the 20 miles round trip to be there in person if I need to use a credit or debit card.This is so inconvenient and sad for me. This is not ADA friendly and very hard for me. We are old and disabled and I begged them today to please let me pay for it via mastercard but they would not. Other than that I like the store and the people who work there. Thank you. Karla R.
