We take pride in having the largest selection of alternative and holistic dog/cat foods in Medicine Hat. Along with helping pets in need, we work with local and regional shelters/rescues/organizations to raise funds/donations, foster cats/kittens, and host fun adoption events.

Every Pet Expert has their certification in Nutrition from the University of California Davis Veterinary Extension Program.

I’m writing to add to Ashley Owen’s comments. Baxter is a Pomeranian and I specifically told this new groomer to take 1 inch off and to cut to the style of the pom. I was totally shocked when she told me that she got a little scissor happy and that it is a little short. She cut all of the outer hair off down to his undercoat and shaved under his legs right to the skin!!!! This is totally unacceptable and I wonder what the grooming school is teaching new groomers as well. Do they not know about different breeds and how important a dogs hair is!!!! I hope that the dog’s hair will grow back.properly. Extremely mad and disappointed customer! This is a pure bred dog!! If she could not groom him properly, she should have left him and told me she could not do the job! Totally unacceptable! What she did to this dog!
Very sad to say that I will not be taking my Pomeranians back here to be groomed as the new girl cut my one poms hair way to short. This is not how Pomeranians fur is supposed to be cut at all as it ruins their coat. Not to mention their coats are designed to insulate them from the heat. I am hoping his fur will be able to grow back but unlikely after it is cut this short.

Not the largest pet store, but still has a surprising selection of pet supplies for your fur or water, or scales? baby! Staff are knowledgable and cheerful and clearly have a heart for animals. We also really enjoy the self serve dog wash stations. Shampoo, conditioner, towels and dryer... this is an amazing store.
I gave four stars because the staff at this store treats us with respect and dignity. They are pleasant, welcoming and knowledgeable. I normally get the product that I am seeking for my service dog, Nefertiti.
