People's Organic Cafe

I’ve been coming here for a while. (Since opening) I feel like it’s become cookie cutter and the food is prepared too early nowadays. Anyway- still good, but lost some pizzazz!

Extremely expensive for what you get. Even for downtown lunch. $43 for two salads. The atmosphere is ok. Not bad. The service not so good. The cashier was snotty. The food was just ok, but certainly note Wirth the price.

This cafe uses deceptive pricing practices. They have the prices of items on the menu, but those aren't the real prices. There's a small sign by the cash register that you only get to read as you're ordering which states that the real prices are 3% higher than listed. The reason stated is that the 3% is for healthcare for employees. First of all, the management of Peoples Organic should already have been providing health insurance for employees. Second of all, if the management wants to have people pay 3% more, they should just raise the prices on the menu by 3%. If they want to charge an extra 30 cents on a $10 menu item, that menu item should be listed at $10.30. The way they're doing it now is simply deceptive. People believe menu items are cheaper than they really are because the management is just lying to their customers on their menu.
