Great tour. Very small and a quick stop. The original JC Penney store is just down the street.
We are from out of town and decided to take a trip up to visit this little historic museum. Lilly was our tour guide and let me tell you… She did a phenomenal job educating us. I was impressed by her manners and respect for the building and the people. You could really tell she had true passion for this little piece of history! She was kind and attentive and it is really what made the whole experience for my family and I. I will definitely be telling others to visit! Thank you for allowing us to tour!
This is a great stop, you should come check it out, sometimes large businesses start in small towns.
The JC Penney home is open and available for tours or you may wander the home and read on your own the family and store history. We are happy to share our history and Mr. Penney's legacy with visitors to our small town. Please come and see us Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm most days.
We had a Togo order and when we got to where we were going to eat we found the order was someone else's. Because of distance we were not able to go back. The order was not something we liked. Great prices and friendly staff in the store and an interesting place to visit. The original house that JCP lived in is the museum. Well worth the visit.
What a wonderful job of preservation. The lady who gave us a tour showed great pride in this little house.

Very interesting. Nice to see old furniture and sundries from the turn of the 1900s. JCPenny was an interesting man.
