Went in for an annual exam. Visit was fine, Dr. was generally acceptable. However appt was to be $0 under insurance. Billed me $300+ initially for visit, stated it was a normal exam due to questions I asked during annual exam. I was never notified of the drastic and significant change to expected amount I should cover during time of visit. Called twice and refused to change coding for insurance. Billing office claims provider is very good about informing patients of the change, should it occur. Well, I wasn't. This isn't an acceptable policy to go for what is expected to be usual annual preventative care and come out with a large unexpected bill, and then fail to even acknowledge the issue or mistake.

I found the staff to be pleasant and helpful, always returning my calls and offering their assistance to the best of their ability. However, they seem to be a little misinformed about their relationships with partnering hospitals and agencies, a result that led me to expensive redundant tests with fees that were to be "waived" according to my provider and her nurses. When I politely insisted that I not be charged over $500 for what was quite clearly their mistake, I was met with a lot of rudeness and beating-around-the-bush. It seems clear to me now that their customer service is a facade and honesty not a priority.
