I went to the Thresherman's Museum this afternoon for a homeschool activity day hosted by some of the museum's volunteers inside the dining hall building, the homeschool children and parents dressed up as well as the volunteers, who were all in costume. We learned about: old time schools, how to card wool, use rope to tie various knots, grind cord with a morter and pastel, as well as making 'kring-el'. I would recommend checking this museum out in summertime, there are several old buildings to look through, varied activities, and demonstrations.
