First time customer on a Saturday night. Pick up process easy, on time, and cashier very friendly and professional. Restaurant was half full. Food fresh and hot, packaged well. Mongolian beef was okay with lots of green onions and not white onions which was impressive. Menu said fried rice noodles, which are common with Mongolian Beef, but order came with dry cantonese noodles which was a huge disappointment. Garlic chicken was tasty and made with dark meat chicken which my family prefers; a big plus. Cashew pork was not good. Pork chunks were large and very tough, almost inedible, and gravy was tasteless. Rice was in a large container and more than enough for the three entrees. Also ordered Crab Rangoon as an appetizer. Well cooked and crispy, large size, but flavor was off; tangy and no sign of anything but cream cheese in the filling. Our family is easy to please with Rangoon and none of the 4 of us cared for it. $48 for 3 entrees and an appetizer, affordable. Fast friendly service. Hot food. I give the taste a 3, the rest a 4 to 5. Will we go back? Not sure. Will have to try other area asian restaurants to compare.
Ordered at restaurant for take home. Almost $40 for 2 regular dishes & 2 sodas. Got home to a small chewy piece of chicken with a tiny bone that was found in the Egg Drop Soup, stale/stinky chow mein noodles, chewy diced steak pieces all piled on the top of one container looked like dog food no utensils & no napkins & only one stale fortune cookie. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Will never go back. As we waited for our take home inside; the restaurant was dirty & dark. There was was one staff person we dealt with was decent & the food came fast.
Hands down the best authentic Chinese restaurant in the Midwest!! Their shrimp fried rice is so delicious you won't need sauce! Their beef egg roles taste like a million bucks but only cost $2.50! Tricia is so sweet and genuine! I'll definitely be coming back each time I'm in Janesville!!
Their food is always delicious and Trish is always attentive to what we need or want. We've been eating there for around 30 years. Sue has always been good to us as well. The Snow White Chicken is wonderful .Food: 5/5
Disappointed service. Lunch menu up to 2pm. Came at 1:25 and was told to order quickly so they can close at 2pm. To go box tossed on our table at 1:45. I read lunch menu until 2 that one can order at 1:55 and still expect to be served and be able to finish eating. I've been coming here for over 20 years and never been treated like this.
My husband and I went for dinner tonight12/15/22and were VERY disappointed with our experience. His dinner was fine but mine was not. I ordered the teriyaki chicken. I was first told that it would be served with 2 full uncut chicken breasts. I asked if they could cut it for me and was told no. I was told the everything else on the menu, meat wise, was cut up. To me that is ridiculous! If a customer asks for something as simple as that, one would think they would strive to make the guest happy. I asked for the chicken to be plated by itself so I could cut it myself. This chicken was DISGUSTING. The waitress came over to ask us how our meal was and I told her I did not care for it. She said she was sorry and that was it. I literally took 3 bites of it. I wasn't asked if I would like something else and it wasn't taken off our bill. When we went to pay the lady didn't even bother to ask how our dinner was. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion. While I don't expect free food, I expect good food and when it isn't, I expect it to be corrected or made right in some way, as would anyone. We will NOT be returning.
This is the second chinese restaurant that popped up on my Google search for " BUFFET STYLE" restaurants in Janesville. Evidently Google doesn't understand what buffet style means or people are lying to get customers. The food and the service is good, but when I'm from out of town and search for a specific type of place i dont want to have to fact check it before I waste my time.
I wouldnt even give it a 1 star but thats the only way to post anything…..Very disappointed. I have been going here for years. I was asked to pay a $1.50 for 2 soups that weren't eaten with lunch. We were told otherwise, they would not accommodate. I had asked out waitress before if I could take them home. The hostess was not her friendly self. I guess I will be taking my business elsewhere. The owner has become very rude! I used to always get fried tofu added to my cashew chicken then randomly one day she told the waitress that we cant do that anymore because it costs too much…. This restaurant has become very disappointing
Service was great. The ladies really took care of us. Great quantity of food. Didn't like the fact that none of the dishes we ordered were traditional Chinese food dishes. All seemed to have extra ingredients. For example, menu said wonton soup with no description. Soup came with mushrooms, shrimp, water chestnuts, etc. Overall, good place.
This place rates in our top 3 restaurants local to Janesville. Always consistent food and pleasant staff. YUM!
