What a beautiful artist built and inspired little park. It's all of 1/8 of a city block small maybe 100 ft square right on Robert street a key artery for downtown Saint Paul. And yet this little artistic piece of peace, draws you in and slows you down. If you are in the north end of downtown walking lunching, whatever... take five minutes for a mental health reset here. You won't regret it.
Neighbors work hard to make this little park lovely and comfortable. It's a great place to have lunch, walk your dog, or just look at the flowers. Would be even better if everyone made sure to pick up their trash when they leave!
Place Making is in full display at this half block park surrounded by housing, restaurants, and Tin Whiskers Brewery. Winding paths, natural grasses that mirror the wall mural, and mobile adirondack chairs let you build your own spot in the park. Of note: Lund’s makes for an easy place to make your Pedro Park picnic.
Would be nice if added a gated dog park section, but this neat yet unofficial community garden is great! Help keep sections tidy and or well planted. Always a beautiful section or few of zinnias. Plenty of chairs. Terrific!
Wonderful park lovingly maintained by local residents. BUT... Major dog walking area though and I guess people don't realize the dog pee pretty much saturates the ground due to high usage. MOST people do pick up the dogdoo but then they chuck it in the trash can there, so as nice as it looks...it's pretty much a dog toilet. Stay on the pavement for your safety.
Pretty sweet urban oasis. There are chairs set out so there are places to sit and enjoy the outside. The sunflowers are rather impressive and so is the entire flower garden. There aren't many places like this in downtown St. Paul, check this place out to get a little flavor of the country smack dab in the middle of the city.
nice place to relax..the neighborhood keeps the plantings, gardens in shape..unbelievable! and the city wants to spend taxes to change it around so St Paul can pay to keep the plantings, and gardens in shape...A safe place with good energy. Dog, and lunch friendly. Please pick up after yourself.
Nice little Park for sitting on a sunny day, or enjoying a nice lunch.
We love the mural at Pedro Park for unique senior portraits! It's close to our studio too - giving our seniors lots of variety.
This park was named after my great Uncle. He and my grandfather emigrated from Italy. They didn't speak a word of English. My grandfather opened a shoe store and my Great Uncle opened the luggage store that stood here. When he passed, he donated the land to the city to be used as a park. I hope to make it up to see it oneday. It is pronounced Peadrow. Their Italian name was Pitera. It was changed to Pedro when they arrived in the U.S. They lived the American dream.
