I attended Peardonville 10 years ago when I was 21. I was lost, broken, desperate and tired of living a life full of chaos and drugs. Going to a new place unknown was scary but reality of it was, I wasn't capable of taking care of myself anymore.nThere was great staff and the group of other women were decent, new/raw women recovering from drugs/alcohol is going to always have dysfunction and dynamics.. I made a few friends.nnRecovery of NA has saved my life, Peardonville was a huge stepping stone I needed to get on my feet and be restored to some sort of health. It has not been an easy journey but it has been a great one. I am so grateful that my life looks and feels nothing like it did when I was an isolate user.nAt 5 years sober, I went to Peardonville and actually worked there as a staff member weekend graveyards. What a turn around experience! A lot of staff changes and government changes over the years and I hope that the women who come and go, find restitution.nnToday? I just celebrated 10 years sober. My 5 year old daughter starts kindergarten and I just finished my first year as a professional local Realtor.nI still have hard days. Life is not perfect. Consistency and daily effort, 12-steps, higher power, community with other recovering women. One day at a time.nnThank you Peardonville, truly.n& Thank you staff.
Take negative reviews with a grain of salt.nThis place is beyond amazing, the staff truly care about us clients and the counselors are very kind. The program is strict but it's helped me get back on my feet and live an independent life. I don't know where I'd be without Peardonville
In 1988, I spent abit over 3 months at this center; a stay then was 5 weeks per cycle, however, due to my condition the staff keep readmitting me. I have maintained my sobriety due to what I had learnt there. Highly recommend this treatment center!
Staff loves to pick and choose who needs to follow rules and who doesn’t. Some staff esp at nights are rude and get away with treating the Clients like they r not even human. Place is dirty and gross. Councelling was bellow subpar. Few things were great but the stuff that was allowed or went down was min boggiling!! Also the way the do the uds tests are a joke. Some got spilt , some got mixed up, somenHad no names till after !nGirls get away with bullying and being mean , not enough cameras or staff caring . Guess it isn’t suppose to be easy but shudnt of been that hard either .
Amazing experience here. My own room for myself and child, structured classes but plenty of free time. Trauma counselling plus regular counsellors. Some staff stricter than others but you figure that out pretty quick. Never thought I would like sewing but now I’ve made 2 quilts! Plus learning the guitar! And staying in shape with the on site gym. Daycare is amazing for my child and of course the very intensive course material. This place is great if your ready and willing. Here’s to sobriety
