I recently visited this restaurant and had a pleasant experience. The food quality was good, with fresh ingredients and nicely balanced flavors. The service was attentive, and the staff were polite and welcoming. The ambiance was comfortable and added to the overall dining experience. While a few dishes could have been improved in terms of presentation and seasoning, overall it was an enjoyable meal. I would definitely consider visiting again and recommend it for a nice dinning option
I wanted to share my experience during our first visit with you. We ordered the Gobi 65, but unfortunately received a chicken dish instead. As we are pure vegetarians, this was quite concerning. While the chef was apologetic, the front-desk staff’s response felt less considerate.nnWe truly enjoyed the ambiance and were looking forward to a great dining experience. However, this mix-up impacted our overall enjoyment. We kindly ask that extra care is taken in the future to ensure vegetarian orders are handled accurately.nnThank you for your understanding, and we hope to return for a more positive experience.
We stumbled on Rivaaj Restobar and it was exactly what we were hoping for; warm, comfortable atmosphere, good acoustics, excellent professional service… and the food! The subtlety of flavours and spice was beautiful. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. Even the rice was gorgeous! I had the Tikka Masala lamb. The lamb was tender and the spices were distinct and perfectly balanced. The portions were perfect for if you are ravenous, or if you want leftovers to take home. My companion chose the Murg Makhni butter chicken which was a whole other flavour universe from the Tikka Masala and equally profound. The intensity of spiciness was clearly described to us by the excellent host, Abdul, so we each ended up with the right level of spice for our individual taste. Pricing is slightly lower than local restaurants of the same calibre. Parking is right outside the door and plentiful. Rivaaj is our new fave Indian restaurant in the Halifax area. Thank you!
We were grp of 3, i ordered chattichor, and my friend ordered nidhi porotta. Nidhi porotta was 10 outta 10. But chattichor could have been better. Since we have tried better chattichor from the same locality. But service was great, dont remember the server girl’s name. But she was wonderful. We ordered falooda, expected a bit more quality, but it was kinda disappointing, would rate below average.
The noodles were flavourful. Chatti choru had ample quantity and tasted great. However veg meals and fish fry were not good. Sambhar was thin, chutneys were refrigerated and served cold, fish fry was dry and tasteless. The lemonades were made in warm water and no ice was available. Service was good.
