This review is for the pond/ it was once a thriving ecosystem with almost all Southern Ontario Birds species including Kingfishers four types of heroin owls red tail Hawks cooper hawks peregrine falcons Cardinals Baltimore Orioles Goldfinch waxwings Blue Jays grackle janko's Red Wing blackbirds Cameron's geese ducks including wood duck the odd white swan Robbins hummingbirds seagulls mourning doves sparrows crows northern mockingbird chickadees woodpeckers including redhead woodpecker the pond had a variety of fish species including Pike Bass perch sunfish catfish koi minnows and a variety of large Turtles and small turtles which would lay their eggs all around loafers Lake Park up the hills around the soccer fields they did not need human intervention they have been thriving since 1982 so why did the city and the conservation Authority together destroy this beautiful ecosystem in the city it now looks like a Eastern European war zone the pond was a storm retention pond why would the engineers decide to lower its volume capacity while the city is growing north of us smaller pond smaller volume when the creek overflows water will follow topography and wash the silly Turtle Beach away and the footpath over and over again I think the sign in front of the rec center should be changed to show the new pond and the picture on this website should also be changed to show the new disaster they've cut down perfectly good trees and left some of the invasive species up I could go on all day but I better stop now you've destroyed our pond and turtles do not need human intervention humans are great at destroying nature the trail is rerouted to go up the hill were the children play at the splash pad and then down the hill where the seniors walk creating a major hazard with all these new electric bikes and scooters that fly up and down the hill at 40 km an hour I was walking there the other day and I got flew by me on a scooter startling me before they would be able to stay at the bottom to travel now it's a major hazard just a very sad and upset resident goodbye

Wonderful facility for a nice walk in the park around the lake or a short trail hunting. Dont miss the Blossoms. Place is beautiful in spring. Dog friendly, washroom and ample spots for Parking. Park connects to Sandlewood on South and Snail Park on North via Conservation Drive Park.
What a great place for your recreation needs. Amazing staff , very polite and courteous. Facilities are amazing, spotless clean and very well managed, lots of signs and directions for you not to get lost. Lots of locker rooms in gym as well as in swimming pool. Very impressed with the way this facility is managed
