This is a quirky statue that you would think you could only find in Maine, however, Paul Bunyan is in other cities as well. The Bangor version is quite high and seemingly randomly located next to a medical building. Why? I am not sure. But it can be fun to try to find him while on Main Street.
This is an odd statue it just appears and it is so much in the middle of no where. But Paul is so big it gives me the shivers. Very manly too with his flannel shirt and full beard. However, the green jeans make me question things.
Loved seeing this place as a kid. I thought the statue moved though at some point in time. The movie IT makes it even better.
Tall dude, armed with a couple of hand tools... Joking aside, Bunyan is an iconic figure in American folklore and a must visit for trips to Bangor. Not much to do besides gaze on the visage, but it's worth it to me.
The statue is not much to get down and see as it is best seen from the street as you drive by, but the structure of it is quite imposing. It looks very nice.
This statue is out gront of the cross insurance center you can visit this statue any time just dont allow your kids let yourself to climb on the actual base thete is a sign upon the statues base that saus that exact thing

Really nice place to stop and snap a quick photo. There isn't really a place to park nearby so it made for a nice quick walk though extremely windy that day.
