In the past year, I’ve had to return at least 5 items that I had purchased the same day due to food dairy, boxed greens being spoiled, despite their best before dates being anywhere from 5-25 days out.nnJust bought a milk today. Noticed an ‘X’ on the cap when I got home. Opened lid… there was no plastic seal on it and milk was chunky. Best before date of FEB 22, 2024.nn***UPDATE: Returned the milk and exchanged for a new one that was sealed properly, with the same expiry date stamped on it. It was also chunky. Returned again for refund.***nnI’ve also seen expired, moldy cheeses sitting on shelf… and poor quality/over ripe/rotten/infested produce on a number of occasional.nnAll at record high prices!nnYum.nnIt’s unfortunate because this is the most convenient grocer. Might have to start travelling a bit for better quality. At least then I wouldn’t have to visit twice in one day…
This is a great location. They always have a nice selection of produce. It’s one of the better no frills in the area. They have lots of kosher options as well.
There was a power outage in large sections of toronto yesterday after the flood. My wife noticed some items molding in this store. Staff told her they also experienced a power outtage. After throwing out our own fridge items and having to go replace with fresh items this no frills trying to sell their tainted food which was not properly refrigerated for almost an entire day. I don't like wasting food but trying to sell food that was not properly refrigerated and for full prices is greedy and disgusting. Wont be going to this location again.

Some selections do cater to specific communities. There is a good selection of Kosher chicken for example. The frozen food section has products that cater to Asian, and Filipino markets, as well. In some areas: kosher candy, and dairy, the selections are many. I actually go to this store if there is something that I cannot locate elsewhere, or if I am looking to try something new.nnI found a peanut butter flavoured puff in the snack isle that I will try very soon. Nice selection of crackers. Worth my trip! There are some days that there is a crowd. It is generally a busy location. If you would like to enjoy your shopping experience, I would check google for the least busy time to go.
