We called ahead and, as soon as we stepped in, the lady sat us down and brought us our fresh pasties. The crust was flaky, but firm enough to contain the savory, flavorful filling. I had the beef and rutebaga, and my husband had the vegetable. We were both very pleased, and my husband said it reminded him of the pasties he had when he lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We grabbed some chocolate and Reeses cookies for the road, and they were wonderful too!

I have eaten pasties since I was a kid..  I am now retired.  :-). I believe the pasties here are prepared just as I like.  We usually buy the at least 6 at time.

Heard about these pasties. I ate my first one there today, yumm! It was so good, I bought 5 more to put in the freezer. It's a small, unassuming looking place with wonderful food. Staff friendly and willing to share history of pasties. Great stop!
