Recently visited passport office on Nov 29, 2024 at 8:10 AM and was initially surprised by seeing the long queue. However, once the office opened at 8:30 AM, the line moved quickly, and I completed the passport submission process within 35-40 minutes.nnThe staff was excellent, starting with the individual who continuously announced instructions to avoid confusion. The process was well-organized, with 15 people entering the passport office at a time for check-in and token issuance. Inside, 15 counters were open and efficiently serving applicants. Despite the initial appearance of being overcrowded, the process was smooth and manageable.nnThe representative at the counter took an appropriate amount of time to review the application and provided helpful and reasonable suggestions. Overall, the experience was very positive, and I found it to be a good use of time.
I went for walking for fresh passport for my newborn and it took about an hour to get the application submitted. Queue- application review and token assignment- wait for token to come to submit or talk to servoce personnel.nKudos to the security lady who helps managing the long queue very patiently and enthusiastically, which i believe is not part of her job but she do it with a smiling face and full diligence. Anyone reading this please thank her if you visit there and acknowledge her diligence.nA good lesson i learnt that day is about finding joy in your work. Its on you whether you want to make it boring or interesting.
nnI visited the passport office, arriving at 7:30am and securing the sixth spot in line. When the gates opened promptly at 8:30am, I was immediately directed to a counter. The service provided was exceptional and remarkably fast, as I completed the process by 8:37am. The security personnel were friendly and helpful to others. Following the visit, I parked my car in the paid open parking area behind the building, paying $4 for a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Efficient seems to be a common statement made by others and I'd agree. This Passport Canada office in Kitchener runs a tight ship.nnIf you can make an appointment you will be seen faster on the day but if you are walking in or have an emergency travel situation try to have an up to 2 hour maybe 3 window free in your schedule to get everything sorted out be it application or other paperwork.nnThere will likely be long lines and a good amount of people in the seated waiting area and you're all quite in close proximity so be mentally prepared for that.nnI've found the staff to be polite and efficient with their interactions. They do this day in and day out so if you have everything ready they'll get you ready to be in and out.nnThere's a food court on the ground floor, be sure to treat yourself after you complete your task.
I went on a Tuesday, got there 8:15 and out by 9am. I was about 40th person in line, all the attendants were nice and efficient. Much easier than I expected!
