Parthenon has pretty average gyros. I happened to be in the mood for a gyro while downtown, so I stopped by. The restaurant itself is nice: it is clean and the employees are friendly. The gyros are tasty but nothing special. I would go back again, as I like gyros.
This is where it's at, homies. You want a gyro and some fries? Come on down. Fair warning though, if you get a fountain drink it's gonna be like 75-80% ice and 20% drink. However, the gyro and fry portion size is top notch—and they give you a cup of tzatziki sauce on the side. Delicious and affordable. It's also air conditioned! Which is an absolute must have. Friendly atmosphere and plenty of indoor sitting. Vegetarian options: Spicy gyro. Fries.
First off let me say the place is clean, staff are very nice, but the gyro is just not that great. I got the mega gyro, and the meat portion was alot smaller than I thought, with the rest of the gyro being loaded down with tons of onion and sauce and tomatoes to make it look like a bigger portion. The meat was dry, and thin cut. After picking through and locating the minimal amount of meat, I was left with an onion and sauce pita sandwich.
This place was great! Big servings! Split the fries! I am so glad we happened upon this place. The atmosphere was light and fun, music wasn't overwhelming, staff was fun and friendly. The place for anything Greek except falafel true story. Pay with Cards only friend, no cash.
This was a great stop in Madison, WI. We had a great time sitting up on the roof patio watching the street below. The food was great also.
Food was great. When we come from out of town it iss oue got to I will not get them from anywhere else! Fresh always and the service was great and quick. The atmosphere is nice has alot of seating inside and outside. Also they do not except EFT, CARDS NO CASH Parking: You have to park on the street where you can find parking
The best place for Gyros in Madison. Fast and friendly service, fresh ingredients with a spacious dining area that includes an upstairs area with outdoor seating. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed if you are looking for Greek cuisine.
For as long as I can remember.. This was the spot! Hard to Park! But made for the downtown walking traffic. 11am is the best time. + Chicken & veggie options! Tip well Vegetarian options: Veggie gyro Kid-friendliness: Anyone Parking: In back of a one way street off street
If I could give 10 stars I would. After being in the food industry for 25 + years I rarely get excited about food. This place is the one exception. If the portions weren't so big I would have eaten 2 Gyros. Flat out amazing
The gyros and chicken skewers were very filling. The chicken skewers had some kind of seasoning in it that I couldn’t tell if it was more like, a little burnt taste or that’s what the seasoning taste like. It has a unique flavor.
