A Thursday evening out led us to here, where the restaurant was not busy. The staff was excellent. The food came in large portions and tasted great. The prices are reasonable when considering the location and dinning atmosphere and experience. We will be back again to try other menu items.
Our plan for today was a day trip to lovely Airdrie from Calgary to visit the Nose Creek Valley Museum and dine-in at Paros On Main. Both for the first time. The meals were delicious! The restaurant is quite lovely. I hope to visit again.
For $24 the customer should receive more than one skewer of meat, especially chicken. There is way too much starch and not nearly enough meat considering the price point. The flavours are on par with most Greek fast food restaurants, I actually hard to add spices to this to make it taste okay. The salad dressing is extremely watery and bland. Over all, we are extremely unhappy with what we got for the price, and will not order from here again. The salad was not good either.
We went on the Saturday before Mother's Day. The restaurant was 95% full. We are happy with our food. The saganaki was flavorful, not to mention the most impressive fire lighting show too get your cameras ready. Could have been perfect if adding more lemon juice to balance out the heavy grease. Appetizers for two include calamari and prawns, dolmas. Out of the three, I would order calamari separately next time. Moussaka was the best dish of the night. The eggplant at the bottom absorbed the juice from beef fillings and parmesan cheese. The topping was full of cream and parmesan aroma. Their dish portions are incredibly generous. And the lady who served our table was super friendly and welcoming
Calamari and Greek salad were delicious!Chicken Souvlaki was nicely done and flavourful. The portions are large! Great staff as well - very friendly and attentive!
Delicious food and great prices for the lunch menu. I had the spanakopita and my friend had chicken souvlaki with calamari. Both were great and this restaurant has authentic Greek food. The restaurant is starting to show its age though and the washrooms weirdly smelled like cigarette smoke. Everything else was great that was the only odd thing here. I do like the big vase they have in the dining room though.
Came here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon and received very friendly service from start to finish. The setting is nice too and the food was absolutely amazing, the portions were very good - could not fault.
We came here for the first time on a busy Friday night and felt rather disappointed. We decided on the souvlaki platter for two, but he's not a fan of salads so we asked if we could switch it for something else. The waitress said no because the kitchen was busy. Fine, we'll stick with the salad. After ordering, we waited, and waited, and waited... our calamari came first after waiting for almost 30 minutes. It was crispy and piping hot, but there was something in the tzatziki sauce that made it a little bitter. Our platter was rather disappointing when it finally came. The meat was overcooked, there was not a lot of tomato sauce, and the rice was not very good. The spanakopita and potatoes were not too bad though. Having traveled specifically here for a date night, it was not the experience we hoped for.
Wow! Just, wow! This place is incredible! No wonder the line up goes out the door when this place gets busy. It's 100% worth the wait if you forget to make a reservation! Luckily my husband made a reservation and we were able to come in a bit earlier after calling and confirming, day of. Where to start? Well, I've heard so much about the Saganaki flaming cheese that we HAD to try it. Oh. My. God. It was incredible! What an entertaining dish! The taste and presentation was awesome! I also attempted to try at least 4 beverages from the cocktail menu. I tried the Bay Breeze which was a great sweet cocktail, the Mediterranean, which was delicious, their valentines special which was amaretto and cranberry juice equally as yummy as the Mediterranean, and the Aphrodite which was my favourite. We ordered a platter that had lamb incredible, pork and beef skewers so tender and delicious, chicken breast tasty and seasoned well, rice pilaf reminded me of my recently deceased grandmother's , Greek potatoes tomato-y, very soft and tasty, and Spanikopita spinach and feta pastry... tbh, probably my least favourite item, and it came with tzatziki delicious, and garlicky, and a Caesar Salad creamy, and tangy... best Caesar Salad in Airdrie. We also ordered the pita and Hummus to go with it all. It was incredible! The Hummus was garlicky, smooth, and creamy! For dessert, we tried their new dessert, which I forget the name of. It was a hot custard, phylo dough tart. So delicious! My husband has a texture aversion, but as much as he hated the texture, he LOVED the taste and helped me devour it! 100% would order that every time. The service was also above and beyond. I had told our waitress that it was our first time coming in and she made sure to let me know what certain items were, or what was realllllly worth trying while we were there. She also recommended that Valentine's drink special and I was so excited to try it. She was absolutely lovely, and made the experience even better! I love how the restaurant is laid out. You don't feel too close to any other tables so you have your own personal private dining space, and it doesn't get awkward when someone else is seated nearby, because they aren't that close! I love it! We spent just over $200, including a nice tip for the restaurant. This place is 1000% worth it if you haven't been in yet. Run, don't walk, and make a reservation here ASAP!
I like to support local, so I came here for only the second time. The food was pretty good with some nice flavours. The restaurant definitely needs some TLC on the seating. It's a potentially nice place if they actually put some work into the gross cushions on the bench seating which looked like it has literally never changed since the last time I was here 15+ years ago, and the service was really slow. Our order took forever to come out. We watched people get served way before us that came in way after us. We ordered a shared appetizer which was lucky that it was filling, because by the time the food came, we were full and unfortunately had to leave to get the kids from the babysitter because it took so long.
