Beautiful scenic beach and not particularly busy in the evening before sunset. Parking is free in the evening as well, but there is a fee to go during the day or afternoon. The beach is quite long and makes for a great walk along the shoreline. An ideal place to check out if you're staying in Shediac and a quick drive from the downtown area.
The early bird gets the worm. Or should I say free parking. Arrive later and you pay $13 for parking. Excellent beach. Soft sand. Minimal seaweed. Not as busy as I thought it would be which was a great thing. Restrooms were clean. Canteen available in case you get hungry and didn’t bring food. Store available for items you may have not packed. Washing station also available to rinse the sand off.
Lovely beach and many little hermit crabs in water. Harmless little creatures and kids love looking and catching and releasing them.
Wonderful ocean-side beach. Very family oriented and lots of room to set up on the sand. Great facilities, very clean. The sand is amazing and the water is perfect. Make this one of your stops, you won't be disappointed!
Although we walked the beach before the park was officially open, I was very impressed with the development of the park area. Lots of washrooms, changing areas, pathways so the dune is not disturbed, and a great boardwalk leading to the beach. It is an extraordinary beach with a breathtaking view.
Beautiful Parlee Beach.. Will be great in warmer weather and especially summer .. So close to Moncton! A worth short driving to get away for a fresh air and nice seaview!
Warm and clean water. Sand is beautiful. They don't allow dogs, smoking, drinking and kites. Entry fee is $13 per car. We love this place.
1st time here. Will definitely go again. You can watch the sail boats as you relax by the beach, listen to the waves come in and the hustle and bustle of people having fun. Parking is 13.00 a vehicle. So pack those people in your car to save money;
I rate the Parlee Beach a 5 star review. I rate the beaches management a 1 star. Average equals 3 stars at no fault to the beach. We were told that there is a dog park area but all we saw were "no dogs" signage. Wife saw in the website that there are dogs allowed to the right of the Boardwalk. Looking out, past the "no dogs" signage, we saw other people with dogs. We joined the group. While making our way to the beach, a worker was changing the sign to read that the water was unsafe. Come noon, we go down to where food is served and there is actually a sign stating that dogs are allowed. Signage on their food vending area lets us know it is not open until 3pm. Parking was confusing. Two lanes in but only one lane is for paying customers while the other is for ticket holders, we presumed. Signage would help. Once on the beach, we enjoyed seeing how populated it was and how far out people could go before the water seemed to get deep. Loved the beach but not the way it is being run. More sunny days ahead we hope. Addendum: Have since been to this park without our dogs in tow. Wife and I went to meet family visiting from Ontario. They have 3 young children who loved the parks many features. The 2 young boys loved searching the beach and finding many hermit crabs and snails. Young girl loved the playground area most. Eventually we all joined together on the beach. Was extremely winding this day and both my wife and I appreciated having worn our sunglasses to help keep the sand out of our eyes. Re-rating this place based on our latest experience. The addition of sand carpeting allowing access via any type of wheeled vehicle. We could see this being enhanced upon to allow wheel chair access for any person along the beach area.
What a beautiful beach! Water was warm, shallow and you walk out to sand bars and collect little hermit crabs lol. Loved it here and will definitely come back when visiting New Brunswick. Now onto another one of MANY beaches in and around New Brunswick.
