What a beautiful park! This park also leads down to the beautiful beach. These few pics were taken from my 1st visit in the summer of 2019 for their annual Sand Sculptures competition. The theme was Myths & Legends. I’m sorry I didn’t take pictures of the whole park, but it is very clean, has stuff for the children, tables, and a building with washrooms.
A beautifully open and very clean space with large shade trees, grassy areas, picnic tables and a large sandy beach. When the tide is in you can walk around the bay in the water and it is no deeper than your waist. There is also a splash area where water shoots up from different spouts, great fun to watch the kids try and dodge the geysers but even more fun for the kids is the amazing playgrounds with brightly painted structures to play on including an airplane shaped monkey bar. There are swings and a sheltered picnic area. There are sandy floored washrooms and rinse showers, volleyball courts but the best part of the island experience are the warm and friendly people. I guess living in a beautiful spot like Vancouver Island makes it easy to be kind.
What an AMAZING PARK. There are about 5 different playground. Lots of swings, 2 mini trampolines. Most of the ground is sand and the rest a spongy hard top idk it's really cool though There is a water park that has cement as the floor but still lots of fun. PUBLIC bathrooms. 15/10 totally recommend!
By far one of my favorite beaches. The access is wonderful, and it is a family and community park. It has something for everyone. Water parks for the children and awesome playground. It has food trucks available as well. The view is amazing. We visit the Sand Castle event this weekend which was beautiful. Then we just chilled on the beach.
We had so much fun here! The splash pad and park area had so many things to keep my daughter busy. We especially loved finding sand dollars, crabs and shells along the ocean!
I just love Parksville BC! Central location for a base so you can go exploring up North or down South. We stayed at The Beach Club Resort which is right on the water with the boardwalk in front. Only downside to the Resort is the elevator. They only have 1 per building; so between guests, staff, and the lovely children who like to push buttons ? You will get a workout on the stairs, lol. All the staff we encountered at the Resort were so nice and always asked how our stay is and do we need anything. Thanks Parksville !
This place is always awesome to go to for a walk on the boardwalk! Some of the nicest sunsets you'll ever see. Have a picnic or go to the Beachclub for dri k or meal! A very Beautiful Park!
Very modern beach, park, tennis court, Beach volley ball courts and wash room with outdoor shower and changing rooms. Busier than Rathtrevor because there are more things to do than just a beach. Food trucks are seasonal. Sand castle building structures are all about which makes this place a tiny little gem! It's got everything you need!
This is the biggest park I’ve seen in the are; it has many options for children of all ages. The sandy ground makes it super fun, and the zip line is very cool for kids. Doesn't have a lot of closer parking lot in Sunday's but you can lrk cloaertk the beach and walk a bit. Beautiful sandy beach.
Love this beach. Great place to come reflect solo or join friends, and a huge modern park for the kids. Lots of parking right by the water, picnic tables and washrooms to boot. Playground: Huge, modern playground near the water and beach. Always lots of kids so they have a blast.
