Parkland Regional Library is a cooperative network of 49 public libraries serving over 200,000 residents of central Alberta.
Parkland provides member libraries with:
• Professional support including consulting services, training workshops, and meeting facilitation
• A helpdesk and central management of libraries’ computers and wireless networks
• Technical services and acquisitions – we order materials requested by libraries and then process them to be made shelf ready
• Resource sharing and reference services
• The eLibrary with access to subscription-only online resources and eBooks
• Parkland collections of specialty materials
• Programming boxes and a Book Club Kit program
• An in-system van service
Parkland Regional Library supports its members through cooperation, innovation, and service by:
- providing human and material support services as needed by the libraries,
- acting as a focus for leadership and library advocacy,
- being effectively and efficiently governed and financially sustainable.
