More prosperous than many malls. With Canadian Tire at one end and Save on Foods grocery store at the other end it is a convenient place to shop. A few empty outlets are not a good sign for the future.
For a shopping mall it's pretty decent, but it's your typical mall. Most stores are now closed and up for rent. The stores that are there are basic. I like it because they have a Value Village, other than that the place is a maze and it's confusing.
Parkland Mall still has its charm, but it's clear the facility is in a state of decline. Many of the retail spaces are now vacant, and some are simply being used to store excess inventory—often shielded behind curtains. Having previously worked at the mall, I'm familiar with what goes on behind those closed-off areas, and it's disheartening to witness the shift from what the mall once was.nnAs Yorkton's only mall, its current state is especially disappointing. The empty hallways, lack of foot traffic, and minimal active storefronts paint a stark contrast to the vibrant space it used to be. Staff in the remaining stores often appear idle, waiting for customers that rarely come.nnI truly believe that lowering rental rates could make the mall more accessible to local businesses, which in turn could help breathe life back into the space. For now, I’m giving it three stars out of support for the community and the hope that revitalization is still possible. It's sad to see, but there's potential—if the right steps are taken.
Very quiet, not very populated on Monday afternoon. Only visited a couple stores.
Love shopping and the people who are working there are nice.
