Great place to play pickleball. The majority of the courts are booked by Kelowna Pickleball members, however there are designated public courts as well
Community centre should be a place where everyone feels welcome. I attended an event here & left questioning whether that standard is being upheld. Hosting speakers whose messaging has been widely criticized by Indigenous and 2SLGBTQIA+ community members sends a message about who is valued and who is not.
Stop here often when in Kelowna. Nice little play park for kids. Large enough green space to play airplanes with the kids. And if you're unlucky enough to get your plane stuck to high in the tree to reach. There's usually a staff member to take pity on you and bring a pole out to rescue it. Thank you from my 6 year-old.
Awesome Rec Center! Been coming here since I was a kid, the lovely staff is probably the best part. Somewhat dated but it has character and honestly love the space! Sad to see it go but excited for the new future building coming!
Parkinson’s is a rec center to cater to every individuals likes. I’m there most days to meet friends and new friends from out of town for pickleball.nIt’s very open to all people and different categories of sport. I especially love the feeling of community and care for each othernI have always believed in abundance and as well the more the merrier
