We went on a beautiful, clear sunny day, which made it such a nice day to hike and also observe the water for whales. We were lucky, with patience, we saw 2 Harbour porpoises. They have a guide for the children to explain the species, and they have a map for them to follow along.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This is an amazing place to watch whales from land: it's easy to see small whales quite close 100m and, from time to time, also bigger ones. In my experience it's easier to see whales quite early in the morning, around 10am. Do not forget sun protection in summer. To enter this place you have to pay around 8CA$, and you can also visit a small but nice museum about whales and phares, and a couple of buildings. If your goal is only to see some whales from land, I strongly suggest moving 10 minutes North, to Baleine park close to les Ecoumins: it's free and from there you will see more and bigger whales.
Such a great place near tadoussac to watch whales from the shore. Workera are super friendly and nice - Lucie was so very welcoming, helpful and happy to share insights about whales and other species in the Lawrence River.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Spectacular park and viewing location. The park gate staff were very welcoming and informative. The shore line provided a brilliant location for both whale and bird photography. I would have liked to have spent more time here.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNo

Beautiful place and well organized by park Canada. Short hike to go to the water and the light house is also magnificent
Very fun - they even have bilingual staff who hang around near the whale watching areas to answer questions. Definitely worth the $8 admission!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

We visited this center on July 15. There is an entrance fee and free parking. The ticket allows you to visit the other centers, but it must be the same day. In this center you will find information about the lighthouse, the lighthouse keeper and the whales in this region. We were lucky enough to see a minke whale and some porpoises.
