Parc national de la Mauricie

Beautiful area to visit, lakes, trees, trails and nothing much else for miles.. must be a fantastic 'dark sky' experience for astronomers, didn't see a lot of wildlife, but as it was a group visit we would have been heard a mile away. Our first & probably only visit to Canada, the trip from Trois Riviere via Shawnigan was just as interesting, so different to home in SE England

Wonderful skiing, very high quality trails, log warmup shelters with wood stoves and lots of drying racks. Great views on the snowshoe trails. Season passes are inexpensive.

Beautiful, well grommet trails with great lodges. Points lost for lack of a difficulty and narrow paths through the woods

I have nothing but positive comments about this place. A friend and I had a half day free so we drove here from Montreal and explained to the front desk that we had limited time and wanted a suggestion for a hiking trail and they were super friendly and helpful. The park is beautiful and we are going to come back and spend a weekend hiking, cannoing and camping.

A magnificent park, everything is extremely well maintained... The trails, the many sites, the rivers, tthe campgrounds........
