The trails are well laid out and allow you to travel throughout the Boisé-des-Frères-du-Sacré-Coeur park in Victoriaville. Access is free and dogs accepted. It’s perfect for bringing the kids.nnI started the walk at the parking lot behind the pump station. We walk on a well-developed path which takes us to the organic orchard. You should know that the first apple trees in the orchard were planted by the Brothers of the Sacré-Coeur in 1881 and 1886 among other crops such as strawberries, raspberries, vines and plum trees. The orchard is, over time, converted to organic management and becomes an experimental orchard. Over the years, resistant varieties and ancestral varieties of vines have been found on site.nnI then took a small path made by walkers which runs along the Nicolet River. There are many viewpoints which offer a beautiful panorama. The path continues and becomes wilder and wilder, reaching the sand dome where you can see the amphitheater and the belvedere. I then took a path leading to the cemetery and passing behind the organic orchard interpretation center. The temperature was perfect for walking this place.
