Start your Darwin adventure here, you get a bracelet for 12$ and have access to 3 locations, including the Darwin Beach and Cascades Park which is 14 min away, once you head out to Cascades make sure you enter Sector 1 NOT 2, 2 is the general public that's going only to see the Cascades, there is another entry for the 3 location bracelet holders. You will access the Cascades from the other side and it's a much better experience, less people. This park is wonderful, rocky paths along the water, so many trails to choose from, beautiful sights, we spent an hour here but one can definitely stay about 4 hours to see it all. Many waterfalls to see, there is shade throughout and picnic spots.
Beautiful small park on the inside of the curve of the river where, apart from pleasant trails in the forest, you have a variety of lovely views of the river in calm, rapides and the falls themselves. Picnic area and restroom available by the entrance. Due to the descending nature of the river, the park is sloped so it's uphill on returning to the entrance. The admission fee allows you to visit other places nearby.
There are so many beautiful aspects to this small park. I did every single trail here in under an hour and was amazed at the variety of trails. Walking alongside the river was extremely peaceful as I only encountered 3 other hikers during my entire time here. The two waterfall overlooks were stunning. The entrance fee was $8 USD per person which is totally worth it. They give you a yellow wristband to wear. Overall this is a great park for a quick half-day trip if you’re visiting Montreal and want to escape the city. Super quiet and peaceful with the smell of trees and rain.
A magic waterfall, a good trail , beautiful wooden posts , personels have a good discipline. Everywhere is clean .the picnic site is nit. Children have something to play .nThe bathroom is perfect , but just there is one toilet for men .and that's better the price be fix in September and October.
The park has some spectacular views od the falls and great hiking paths. A few bridges were damaged during the flooding caused by Hurricane Debbie. There are plans in place to rebuild them in the near future.
