Lovely little park that has expanded quite a bit since we last visited this area 7 years ago. This time there were two guides on hand that would walk with you through the park explaining the history behind the ships anchors. Very well done.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Within the Pointe des Cascades area. A true road trip gem. This park honours the historic marine era in Canada. This area is located at the merge of both the Outaouais and St-Lawrence rivers. The wonderful park is very well kept. It's unfortunate that the canal is not in function. Free parking and plenty of benches dotting the park and extra green space across the tiny bridge. Bonus is the walking/bike path that goes on for kilometers.
Nice bike, not hard, but beautiful nature.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

There's many anchors on display here. Be careful around the old locks, not swimmer friendly. With that being said, it is a nice interesting place to walk around and read some history of the old soulunge canal locks. There is parking area where many leave their cars and start a bike ride along the bike path beside the canal. It goes all the way to Lake St Francis with stops along the way. Check it out. Mega.
Not a lot here but there are toilets, open space, tables and chairs in an attractive mown area of some size.
Cute little spot to learn more the history of anchors : it's a bit smaller than expected but it was really interesting!!
I have been going to this place for the past 15 years my favourite pastime and very historic about anchors from the st-lawrence other areas. If you want to know more about this place point the Cascade is the place to go. The waterfalls are amazing and the canals of where the boats used to pass through is very good to see. You can enjoy a whole day there and even picnic and it's free that's the best part.
This is an excellent landmark, named back in the 1600's, great outdoor anchor park, the most anchors in one place I have ever seen. Perfect for picnics and scuba diving training in the canal. About 1 hour west of Montreal, just passed Ile perrot, Pointe aux cascades, keep your eyes out and follow the exit for about 3 kilometers.
