A great spot to take a walk and enjoy the views, from a scenic waterfall with suspension bridges above to a view of the St. Laurent. There are nice boardwalks and lookout points. Cost: There is a fee for access per person $8.50 and a fee for parking. If you would like to take the cable car there is an additional cost - this is strongly recommended if you want to see the full site but you would prefer not to walk down and/or up the 487 stairs. Some additional activities are available for an additional cost including zip lining and a guided ropes course. Note that the wait for the zip line can get long 1 hr+ especially on busy days. Access: A public bus comes from Quebec City regularly. If you are driving you can save money on parking by street parking in the town and walking over.
If you go to Montmorency waterfall you can also take a tram up and down to see another angle of huge and beautiful waterfall. The day my friends and I went, it wasn't crowded at all. We took round trip because we parked the car on the top of mountain. At the ground level, station has cafeteria, restroom, souvenir store and zip lines if you want more adventure!
Gorgeous falls. Best time to see them is in the spring I think cause the last time I saw them in the summer there wasn't as much water. The ride up in the cable car and the walk down the side of the hill is a great experience.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Just be aware they are doing some construction and likely seasonal closures so the cable car and train were closed week of dec 4 and the path/stairs to upper part is closed, but you can go right to upper part and park up there, just search for Stationnement du parc des chutes Montmorency it's a 7 minute drive from the lower part. Still worth checking out the lower part for a different perspective. Beautiful scenery here and cool to walk the suspension bridge.
Pretty with the fall colors from the top and the mansion house was cute and decorated for the holidays. We started at the bottom and went up the precarious looking steps toward the falls. The bottom has some pretty serious construction going on and is kind of bare at this time. I know they say it’s as big as Niagara - maybe they mean in vertical height because not in terms of overall magnitude/ width/ water falling. Worth a visit on the way to / elsewhere like Ile d’Orleans but don’t design your whole trip /day around it. I thought Chutes de la Chaudiere waterfall nearby - other side of St Lawrence river was prettier with nicer walking.
If you like waterfalls, then you shouldn't miss this place if you are near quebec. The place is well organised and there are enough parking places. It's a huge waterfall and you can have a look from the bottom and the top of the waterfall. The waterfall is higher than the Niagara Falls. There is also a via ferrata if you want to use the stairs. The place is around 15 minutes away from Québec City you can combine visiting the city and the waterfall.
It's a very nice park with a breathtaking view on the waterfall. I took off a star because of the construction there which ruins a bit the impression, also one of the main viewpoints was closed. Worth visiting anyways! Especially when it's not too hot.
First time visiting this place. The view is amazing, the entrance is cheap as well as the parking and there's rock climbing if you guys are interested in that. I would of done it if it wasn't for time we got there 1h before closing. The only real downside is the climb back up, but the scenery make it worth the effort. Fun family friendly place to visit.
Gorgeous falls with the ability to see the falls from right above to the very bottom. The cable car ride was a plus especially with small kids. There are play areas for children at the top and bottom.
The glass on the windows in the lifts were pretty dirty, it would be nice if they cleaned them more frequently so u could take a more clear photo while on the lift.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
