Moldy Pastry - Disappointing Experience at Panchavati SupermarketnnI visited Panchavati Supermarket at 45 Woodbine Downs Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6N5, yesterday and purchased a pineapple pastry. After storing it in the fridge, I took it out this morning to give to my son, but luckily he refused to eat it. Unfortunately, I took one bite before discovering mold in the pastry. Initially, I thought it was pistachio or another ingredient, but the taste was unmistakably off. As a breastfeeding mother, I'm concerned about the potential health risks associated with consuming moldy products. What's even more concerning is that the expiry date on the product was November 15, 2025, which suggests it should have been safe to consume for another 20 days. I find it unacceptable that a product with visible mold was sold, and I hope the store takes immediate action to address this issue and ensure better quality control in the future. I've taken pictures of the moldy pastry as evidence. I hope Panchavati Supermarket will take my feedback seriously and provide a suitable response.
