Very peaceful and its very popular 4 all ages. Its also very well kept up.

Enjoyed the backbone trail but had a hard time finding the trail head from the river ford parking lot. Snails everywhere.

Quiet, serene trails. Nice lazy river for tubing, from the ford to the bridge takes 2 to 3 hours, then only a 5 minute walk back to the car through the tunnel.

Great little find south of Des Moines. Beautiful park. We took our 2 yr old and 1 yr old here for a hike. They did great and had a ton of fun.
