Fantastic spot to bring the pup after a hike in Gatineau Park. Great outdoor seating options on one of two shaded patios or grab a solo table in the shade of leafy green trees. Enjoy a bite to eat and a latte while relaxing after a long bike ride or hike.nnWe enjoyed the avocado toast with egg and latte and the mushroom roast with regular coffee. The oat milk latte was excellent btw.nnService is slower but that is because things are made fresh and it allows for more time for relaxing outside.
This place was very pleasant.nThe location is off the busy strip and has a handful of parking. I recommend going as early as possible to enjoy the tranquility and get some parking.nnThey greeted us really nicely and offered English or French service.nWe ordered a matcha latte, cafe latte, oat bowl, French toast and side crepe.nnAll was tasty. I wouldn’t say the most elevated or complex in flavours but on its way. The presentation was nice. Also the crepe was actually just a pancake but I ate in anyhow.nnOverall I enjoyed it and would be back again. I just loved the setting and the proximity to some nice nature spots and of-course the Nordic spa.nnIt may also be helpful to instal à coatrack upstairs for the stool seating there wasn’t a place to put my coat.
The food and coffee here is just excellent — really elevated toasts, bowls and brunches. Nice treats too. It is also a great spot to stop while on a wander or bike ride or ski through Gatineau Park. For that reason, Palmier gets super duper busy on weekends and other popular outdoor-activity days. But I always find it worth it to try and squeeze in, because the food and beverage and scenic patio spots in nice weather are just so worth it.
I can start by saying I can’t wait to come back.. the place is super cute, the views with the fall colors are amazing. We visited on a Sunday morning, it was super busy and the lady at the cash switched menus right at our turn, for a shortened one to minimize stress on the kitchen, my order was not on the minimized one.. but the lady at the cash was super nice to accept it. My latte came right through, it was amazing , we tried the pumpkin loaf very moist and flavourful! The main plates came a bit late and I totally understand because of the load they had. It’s lovely how they have many scattered seating in the woods.. I really one come back during the fall and enjoy this new gem in Chelsea
Update: have been here 3 times now, and it still delivers the amazing experience and yummy food! Definitely worth the visit.nnStopped for a quick brunch bite to eat. The club and veggie sandwiches were great! We enjoyed the feel of the entire place and the Lattes were spot on. 1hr limit and all covid protocols in place giving a save feeling during our stay.
