Checked out Paliotti’s today and was really hoping to like it. But the experience from the start was terrible. We booked for a group of 20 yesterday and showed up today and we weren’t even on the books I’m told this happens often. They scrambled and got us in but made us feel like we were the inconvenience. The recommendation for the starters from the server were not good. The ribs were dry and BBQ was not a good flavour. The fried lasagna was really hard in the corners but decent. The main course of the Cajun penne was a great portion but very salty and runny. And the deserts were nothing special. The servers were great. But the manager was just giving off an unwelcoming vibe. I give this place a 3 .
I love coming to this restaurant. The food is delicious and service is amazing. There's is large selection of dishes to pick from and portion sizes big. They also have an outdoor sitting area which is so great during the summer. They are busy and so I highly recommend making reservations.
First time coming here, service wasn’t anything to rave about but the waitress was polite. The decor was inviting and the food was yummy, only reason this gets 4/5 stars is because the service was pretty slow. Very yummy food though! Will be back.Recommended dishesCajun Chicken Penne
The food is absolutely amazing, so flavourful and you get your money's worth. Great dining atmosphere and excellent service from our waiter Niharika. If you're looking for a place to eat in Abbotsford, you MUST try Paliotti's!
We’ve tried Paliotti’s several times now. Two really positive experiences. And one experience that was a disappointment. The complimentary bread and tapenade is excellent. I would always love to eat more of it. This most recent time we ordered Mushroom Ravioli and the Chicken Parmigiana. Both were excellent and delicious. I don’t think it’s the absolute best Italian food I’ve had. Though it is an excellent option in the Valley. Our service was good for the most part. My only recommendation would be to try and stay on top of drink refills as much as possible. We did have a previous experience where we were seated, though forgotten for nearly 30-40 minutes without orders or menus. I hope that shortfall has been improved and I may give five stars if I see consistent good service.
It was definitely a nice place. We had a group of 8 people and made a reservation. We had a fun time, the service however was a little slow. The drinks menu honestly had many options, and we ordered about 6/7 different ones but none of them were upto the mark. The taste was not that great! The food was however really good. The portion size was quite big even the one for kids. We ordered vegetarian raviolli - which was yumm! Ordered some cajun pastas which they said would be spicy but not really. None of us were able to finish their portion. The breads were good too. They even had the gluten free bread option which I liked. They do have gluten free pasta for substitute if anyone likes. I do believe they have one for pizza as well, can't recall. Overall, we all had a good time, the one star less is for the slow service and not so great drinks.
Service was good, but could've been a bit more present at our table to be deemed perfect. Food was EXCELLENT, fresh ingredients, well presented, seafood was cooked in my linguine 'just right!' Our Birthday girl got complimentary dessert which I think is a sweet touch. Sorry no pics of main meal, we were just too excited to eat. We will happily come back
The wife and I went in on a Friday evening around 5pm no reservations, but were seated within minutes. We ordered from the Early Bird and Happy Hour menu. The service was great, the drinks were great, and the food was outstanding! Was a delicious Italian margarita and some of the best tortellini pasta I have ever tasted. Great value for the money. Will definitely be back.
Awesome Italian restaurant, family owned. Authentic italian food, pasta was yumm. Our server Anna was extreamly helpful and explained all the menu items, and her recommendation was spot on. Vegetarian options: They have nice vegetarian options. And you can request to customise your pastas
We always have great food and great service at Bow & Stern. It's our go-to for a nice evening out with the family. We never hesitate to make plans here, and when there is any issues they are always resolved immediately. The mussels are a staple, as are the fish & chips. However, if you really want to splurge, nothing beats the hot seafood tower it's available at market price worth it for a special occasion like an anniversary.
