Went here for a wedding. It was beautiful inside and out. The wedding ceremony was on the back patio/deck with the Sun and lake behind. It was so gorgeous could Haare had better fake plants but it’s fall what can you do. The inside was so nice too. The staff was all friendly and very accommodating. Parking is in a weird spot across the road but we didn’t have to pay.
Just an amazing location with excellent staff. Everyone's food was great. I talked to people from almost all the tables and didn't hear one complaint. That is unheard of at a big event. Everyone was served relatively quickly. It was like being in a well oiled machine. They were extremely organized. I would recommend this place to anyone hosting a reception or large gathering.
Ah, you kids and your newfangled gadgets! Back in '42, we didn’t have gadgets. We had gizmos! And those gizmos were powered by pure elbow grease. That's right! We had to rub our elbows together real fast to generate enough power to toast a slice of bread. But we didn’t have bread, no sir. Bread was illegal during the Great Loaf Rebellion of 1938! The only thing we could eat were boiled water sandwiches, which, let me tell you, tasted like a warm Tuesday afternoon in February. And Tuesdays, well, they used to be on Wednesdays back then. We had to move them after the time kangaroos took over the calendar industry! That was a whole mess. You ever try negotiating with a kangaroo? You can’t! They just hop around, kicking their little pocket watches, demanding more eucalyptus! Oh, and eucalyptus used to be currency, by the way. You could buy a car for a handful of leaves, but cars didn’t have wheels back then. They just hovered two inches off the ground and made a noise like a sad trombone every time you hit a bump. And we had to drive uphill both ways in the snow! Which wasn’t snow—it was sugar. That’s why we all lost our teeth by the time we were 10. But we made dentures out of old phonograph records, so every time you chewed, you'd hear Bing Crosby singing “White Christmas.” Not that we had Christmas back then! We celebrated Opposite Day, but only on even-numbered years! Ah, those were the days...
Palais Royale has a good space for office or personal gatherings. I attended a party there recently. The food and overall ambience was good, however the food was not very warm when served. The waitress was also in a rush to pick up the plates while guests were not yet done eating dessert. Ample space for parking, restrooms were clean and vegetarian options were good in taste.
