It is an absolutely amazing cafeteria in the heart of Quebec City. We were headed to another restaurant when we saw some tourists standing out of this restaurant and eating tasty croissant . We couldn’t cross this place without trying one. So we went inside and saw a big cafeteria with long queues on three cash counters. There was a meal section, a coffee section and a bakery section. We spent an hour and a half, tried two of their lunch menus. And then a couple of coffees with some croissants, pain au chocolate, a chocolate eclair. It was all very very tasty. We were very satisfied with our meals and only paid 50 CA$. I’m already recommending this city and this restaurant to all of my Canadian friends and I’ll definitely go there again. As it is in the city center, don’t expect to find parking around it. They take all sorts of payments, and there’s a lot of sitting area. Although, around 12pm expect a lot of rush, and long waiting times. But definitely a try. Over anything else in Quebec City.
A busy bakery with so many options! Was torn between everything ordered an almond chocolate croissant and it was so good! Came back for a second bite and there were more options than yesterday! The chocolate was perfectly mixed with the almond sauce, they were not too sweet and I’m pleased with it. The blueberry one was so delicious when it was heated up! A MUST-GO in Quebec's old town!
I loved the pastries at this place. Specifically the almond and chocolate pastry. Also tried the coffee and the chocolate. Husband had menu of the day that included a piece of quiche, soup, coffee and a small dessert. Service is fast and, most of the times, kind. I got the almond chocolate pastry at least 5 times during my visit in Quebec. Really recommend it.
As I asked the concierge at my hotel where to get some lunch, he recommended this place. Roughly a 10 minute walk from the Hilton, this was the perfect place to grab a ham and brie baguette. Accompanied with a latte and small potato salad, this was all I needed to be satisfied. They have many other items such as salads, deserts, etc. And since you're in the heart of old Quebec City, there are many other cafes and shops to explore.
We walked in and the first thing we saw was spilled coffee on the ground that hadn’t been cleaned. We had to make our way around it to join the line to order. There was a menu on a mirror but literally no one could read it horrible idea. We ordered two sandwiches, one pastry and 2 waters. It was a total of 45 dollars. Then we had to wait for the sandwiches, this wasn’t very quick. When we started to eat it, it was warm on the outside but cold on the inside. After I asked to put in the oven again it was still cold on the inside. I would absolutely not recommend going here.
This breakfast was a delightful experience, deserving of a solid five stars! The bagels and croissants were perfectly baked, achieving that wonderful balance of crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside. The flavors were exquisite, and the variety of toppings and fillings offered made for an exciting breakfast. It's a heavenly start to the day that I'd recommend to anyone who appreciates delicious pastries and bagels. I can't wait to return for more!
One of the best and most famous bakery’s. They have such huge variety of bakery, pastries, deserts and sandwiches and salads. Their prices and great and affordable as well. The place is clean and always busy. The coffee is also ok. Their sandwiches are great for lunch and will fill you up, they have different sandwiches with different tastes that are great. Definitely recommend this place
Incredible food! There is usually a long wait, and there seemed fewer people than needed for a long weekend Saturday to speed up the line, but all in all the wait was worth the quality. The croissant was delicious. Had the most amazing macarons… crispy shell and soft inside. Worth giving a try!
We went at 9 in the morning and there was quite a line. We got the croissant and a latte. The croissant was soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, but not fresh-from-the-oven fresh. It had really great buttery flavor and was on the greasier side. The latte was too foamy basically cappuccino. There were no more seats inside so we sat outside which was quite nice. Service was good, but the line took a while because people were ordering a lot and didn't know quite what they wanted. A lot of tourists.
Nice, large pastry shop with a wide variety of baked goods. Friendly employees and fast service. Ordered a croissant which was tasty and right out of the oven, along with a delicious latte with lots of foamy froth. Only miss was my fruit cup which was watery and not very fresh. If you go here, best to stick to the baked goods. Overall, a pleasant cafe in Old Quebec City.
