Port Alberni inlet is gorgeous. The open waters of the west coast was just that. Open. The huge swells had me puking off the side of the boat. Once we moved inside broken island chain it was calm as was I. Fishing was amazing. Needs to be seen.Playground: NoPublic restrooms: NoOff-leash dog area: NoPicnic tables: NoBarbecue grills: No
very nice places and landscape. parking should be cheaper and opened earlier in the morning. Also watch out some trails sections are very badly maintained ; some wooden board are missing from the many platforms, some are so damaged that it is dangerous to walk on them. Especially Shorepine bug trail, Florencia to southbeach/Wikaninish beach. The beach parking lots are always closed in the morning and only opened at 8 am Its almost never possible to surf before work early in the morning. Very often the bathrooms are very clean. Restrooms: very clean sometimes less during the tourist season Picnic area: nicely organized my favorites ones are at Wikaninish beach
Just finished the WCT 6 days and it was absolutely amazing. Lots of mud definitely wasn't 100 ready for everything we went thru but it was an amazing trip would recommend to any one looking for and adventure.
Only scraped the surface of exploring here but there are loads of beautiful spots to pull in and enjoy the stunning views and quiet. Or go for a little hike.
Beautiful. Worth the visit. Definitely try surfing. Good place to bring kids for a no service trip
Fantastic spot in the spring before the crowds arrive. Great outdoors activities, stunning sunsets, wildlife etc.
We were so disappointed when we visited the Pacific Rim national park of Canada. We took the Ferry to the island with $100 and stayed in a hotel and next day, we drove in a zigzag way for about 3 hours. What we saw was a so-called famous pacific beach which is dirty with so many died trees like huge skeleton grave. Then we had to drove back to take the ferry back to the land. More worse, one section of road closed to Pacific Rim was under the construction, Why don't you send out the information on the construction so that people do go there. This is the worse national park in Canada. Do go there, unworthy.
This place is epic. The WCT is awesome. Bring cash for a steamed crab, even if it's 9 am. Swim in the ocean, it's cold but it's worth it. Don't be a wuss.
This is my go-to place when I need to recharge the spirit. Long sandy beaches, mossy forests with opportunities for surfing, hiking, fishing charters or just chilling out and taking in the scenery. Please stay away, it's mine.
Always amazing on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
