Moderately upscale modern Asian cuisine in a pleasant and cozy environment. The food came in an ordered but timely manner and was well worth the price. They have a decent sized list of unique cocktails and plenty of wine options. The food definitely tasted good but nothing that blew me away. A good spot to check out!
I took a 5pm reservation for our family of 4 , with a request for 2 high chairs. We were greeted very warmly by the host, he even had the two high chairs set up for us in a nice corner of the restaurant. Being 5 pm, we beat the restaurant week traffic. The server was amazing. Polite, quick and accommodating. The food was fantastic. We had the pork belly for appetizer. The Korean inspired rib eye with quail eggs for main course. And shared a dessert of dark chocolate mousse with passion fruit sabayon sauce. Mouthwatering! Best service ever! They have nice individual restrooms. No diaper changing station but we didn't have an issue with that.
Celebrated my birthday here and they gave me their best dessert. Their appetizers and entree were amazing. Taste, service and experience is well worth the $$$.
Delicious and delicate food with a menu emphasis on seafood but not exclusively so. Service was excellent. The pace of the meal was on the slower side but didn’t feel out of place or imposing - make sure to go relaxed without time constraints.
I can see why this restaurant is highly rated. All the dishes were so delicious. My son said his ribeye was so tender and flavorful. My branzino skin was nice and crispy, fish cooked to perfection. Try the almond panna cotta. Wish I had a second serving! Our server was very attentive and friendly. Restaurant is cozy with nice ambience. Price on higher end but definitely worth it for a special meal.
Another fantastic experience. It's a no brainer to come here over restaurant week. My girlfriend and I had the spring rolls and crab cake for appetizers, the soup and salad and the lamb shank and ribeye for the entrees. I don't think you can do wrong with any of the dishes but the lamb just falls off the bone! For dessert we had the creme brulee tasting which was truly excellent, as someone who loves creme brulee. The wine pairing makes for a great all around experience.
Food was terrific and service was great. We had the garlic-chive dumplings and zucchini scallion crepes to start off. We then had the Thai penaut noodles, five spice duck, and the korean marinated ribeye and all were delicious.
I came here with my family for mother’s day and we liked it a lot. The entrees and desserts were great but we didn’t love the appetizers. Of the appetizers, we liked the unagi one the most. The tuna was our favorite entree and we also liked the salmon, sablefish and ribeye. The chocolate cake and creme brulees were an amazing finish.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
We just moved to Ann Arbor from Texas and Pacific Rim immediately became our favorite restaurant. The sablefish is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had, hands down. The servers are always impeccable & so kind. We also love the outdoor seating they’ve set up with the tents & lights, truly a one of a kind experience!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: No
I have been to many upscale, mid tier and hole in the wall Asian restaurants. I am Asian, Asian food is very close to my heart. That being said this place was surprisingly affordable for a nice moderate upscale dining experience, with excellent serve with good food. To elaborate, we made a reservation for my bf and I’s birthday. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive and helped with my lactose intolerance. Other servers/people stepped in as well to clear any dishes and refill any drinks. Our cocktails were really good and well balanced. What we ordered was the Tuna with Taro chips, the Pork Belly with Soba Noodles, Duck Entrée and the Veggie Noodles. All the food was good…but not fantastic in the sense that nothing really stood out to me. The Tuna and Taro chips were good, the taro chips were really tasty and light but the tuna mix felt like it was lacking flavor. The pork belly with soba I found interesting, plating wise not the easiest thing to try to eat together. The pork belly seems a little over cooked, I usually expect the outside to be crispy and the rest to melt in my mouth but it did not. The sauce with it was overpowering the soba noodles in my opinion. Typically soba noodles have a lighter taste to them. The sauce made it feel heavier. The Duck Entree I had was yummy, the duck I think was cooked pretty perfectly, the sauce it was in was yummy but almost too overpowering of the flavor of the duck. I won’t make comments on the risotto as they modified mine without lactose and I thought it was lovely they did so and it tasted pretty good. Bok choy seemed a little over done but together as a whole dish I loved the idea and it was good. My boyfriend had the Thai Peanut Noodles in what seemed to be a curry type sauce. I personally did not find it that good, just lacked depth of flavor, I thought the choice of vegetables was kind of interesting. The sauce itself I think should have been slightly thicker to help it stick to the noodles better. I didn’t eat that much of it but what I did have I wasn’t interested. For dessert we had chocolate cake with ice cream and then a mango Thai basil sorbet. The warm cake and ice cream was pretty good and that sorbet was wild!! Should probably call it Thai basil mango sorbet because wow it definitely reminded me of Asian desserts I grew up with, very strong in the Thai basil realm as you continue to eat it tho but I enjoyed it! TL;DR Great service and atmosphere Cocktails were on point Food was good but nothing special but since prices weren’t really that expensive for what you got, it was worth the cost in my opinion.
