Everything looks very pretty. I tried a couple of things. Almond croissant and coconut bun. Almond croissant has a bit bitter not sure if it’s always like that.
The store is clean and I like that they accept debit/credit cards as well. The buns here are definitely overpriced, but unfortunately that's the price of convenience. It's better to head over to Chinatown if you want something more economical and fresher buns. I bought a pork floss bun yesterday and the bread felt like it was a bit undercooked. It was also really dry because it was missing the mayo-mixture in between the bun I think the baker forgot to put it. It was not worth the $4 +tax I paid for this bun. I was very disappointed. It seems like the quality control is better over at the Atwater branch, I never had that happen to me after going to that branch for years. It's better to come earlier in the day since most of the buns were sold out by the time I got there, around 5:30pm. There's always a long line but the cashiers were friendly despite how busy it was.
My friends and I got the deal for 6 buns and no tax. Very cute patisserie shop within Guy-Concordia station. However, prices were a little steep and the buns were mediocre in taste. Buns were priced at around $1.75 - $2.75. Would recommend coming here for a quick snack.
I used to be a fan of this store but my last recent experiences were not good. I bought a bun and it wasn’t properly cooked. The dough was still sticky and not cooked. I'm really disappointed...
So basically I stop by a Cocobun any chance I get. I especially love the BBQ and teriyaki chicken buns, but at this specific location the teriyaki chicken buns are significantly better than BBQ. Despite the racks displaying around the same amount of buns, seemingly made at the same time, the teriyaki chicken version had much more filling, and were more moist and flavorful. I've had BBQ buns at another location that were perfectly fine though so maybe this location was running a little low on the BBQ goodness that day. I can't remember exactly what else I bought, something like a custard and raisin bread very good, not overly sweet and a brioche and cream again very good. Oh and I would like to also note that these locations do not accept American cards, so if that's all you have then you better put some cash in your pocket.
I have been going there for the past 2 years to get a bubble tea before class. As for the pastry and the food are good.
Great selection here. Usually the hot counters only have sausage buns, this place had egg&cheese and it was yumm! Garlic bread was delicious too. Cheap and delicious. Win win :
It is a great place to get a snack and or all things delicious and awesome. The place is accessible by Guy-Concordia Station and everything there is simple. They have tons of pastries and baked goods at affordable prices. When you enter you use their tongs and tray to put your food. For me it is a little bit scary due to COVID-19 but there's no other choice to use. I really like their pork buns. A good friend of mine, recommended me their hot pastries like pork buns and hot foods. Their muffins are full on sugary so I am not getting that anymore! Their oreo pastry and croissants were good though. The staff is doing their best to assure that everything is clean and readily available. Some of their pastries are not available depending on the time and date but they will do their best to fill some of them up as soon as possible. Or you can ask them as well if need be. They do cakes and and have a variety of bubble teas as well. It is welcome for all especially for students and others. A great place for snacks and pastries on the go! For me it is a would recommend.
Panda brown sugar milk tea didn’t taste sweet at all. Wasted my money
Selection of buns here is worse than the Atwater location. I went on a Friday afternoon and there were only few kinds of the buns available not pre-packaged ones while almost half of the shelves were empty.
