Owl's Nest Books is Calgary's oldest independent book store. We've been recommending books to Calgary readers for 40 years. Books that are worth talking about and worth reading. And worth owning.
We've long been known as the city's most informed book store. That's because all of us at the store grew up with books and our lives are better because of it. We take seriously our responsibility to pass on that love of books to a whole new generation of readers. We can recommend a great book for you, for a friend, or for your favourite young reader.
Our carefully selected books are complemented by unique gifts for adults and children including journals, greeting cards, puzzles, games, crafts and toys.
If the book you want is not currently on our shelves, we are happy to order it for you. We can even located out-of-print books to get that obscure title or old family favourite into your hands.
We're proud of Owl's Nest Books' place in Calgary's literary community. We host five book clubs in the store (2 for adults and 3 for kids and teens) and we offer a 10% discount on local book clubs' selections. We support new and established local writers by hosting book launches, readings, book signings and open mic nights.
Good books make for a healthy community. And a having a good book store around helps make that happen. We are proud to be that book store.
