The church's location a bit confusing because of the construction and everything but surprisingly the church was packed and it's a normal catholic church.
The only Salesian Church in BC. I've been attending to this parish for longer than I can remember since 1986. Grew up with this community. Great priests and lay people. Sunday mass can be overcrowded but that's because this parish is that great!
I have grown to love this church specially since I began attending the 9am mass this year. I started once a week and eventually gone daily. I love that I can go to the adoration chapel. The Rosary is prayed daily after the 9am mass except Sunday, I think. The schedule is different on Sunday masses so I just go home. Some days after the 9am weekday mass there are activities which is open to all after the Rosary. On Mondays, I would sometimes join the group to give food and drinks to the poor and maybe get to know those willing to talk. Tuesdays, you may join the group to go for a 1hr walk/hike at nearby park/trails. Ride is available to a park that is farther away. Thursdays is Zumba class for a small fee of $4 at this time. This class is growing every week. Other days may have bible study or events according to what's happening at the church. These activities are great for retired, semi retired, or just have time to spare and do something in the morning or get to know or give back to the community by sharing your time, talent and treasures those willing to share : God bless.
Attendance of people are in abundance. Limited place to sit. However, it has as tranquil feel to the environment
Who is in charge in the church need to make sure both parents are agree with any sacraments the kids needs to take. I got a news that my daughter and my 2 sons got first communion with out my permission . If the church is for families and love, they need to send a form to be signed by both parents. Because sacraments are a very important step that our kids takes. You can not ignored one of the parents because she or he are from different religion. The kids have 2 parents. The church needs to invite both sides. .
