Otsego Medical Center

I moved into the area and was looking for a doctor who was not a hour away. They got me in with in a week of making first contact and anytime i have had a issue in the last 3 months ( questions about test results, bad cough, or migraines) they got me in some or next day. My Son loves them, they are always friendly and nice.

In July 2015 I called the Allegan office to make the switch from Dr. VanDenBrink ( love her but moved ) to the Otsego office& Dr.Farhat. I Told the receptionist everything I needed to be seen for & she made me my appointment. I waited a couple of weeks for my appointment - with MANY things needing to have a Dr's attention badly. I get there , so relieved to finally see a Dr & hopefully get some relief & she would only see me for 3 things ( I was not told that on the phone at all when I listed off way more than 3 things that I needed to be seen for) and so a few things that NEEDED attention went unattended to and she had a very uncaring , rude attitude the whole time. I was in a LOT of pain as well as having an anxiety attack and she did NOTHING whatsoever to be kind or offer any sort of comfort and she WALKED OUT of the room after I said the only thing that kept me going all week was knowing I had that appointment cuz I was in SO much pain and wasn't sleeping so was getting anxious and was just a mess and I was crying ( I do NOT do that ) and she acted like THAT to me. I was waiting on her nurse to bring me my dose instructions and 15 minutes went by and I popped my head out and Dr.farhat saw me and very surprised sounding said "Oh you're still here?" So,so,so rude and poorly ran. If a person with less to live for than I went in there like that & she treated them that way they could have left there and hurt themselves or turned to street drugs. I hope she is very ashamed of herself and I can for see her with a lawsuit against her eventually for this type of careless treatment

This was my doctors office . and at first I had no issues with making an appointment and getting into the office for a visit but it seems to be this year its a night mare to talk to anyone to get any kind of appointment. This past week I Literally called three days in a row to get sent to voicemail every time, I left voicemails explaining I am sick and need to make an appt. and left my number each time finally I just gave up because my sickness kept getting worse and went to urgent care.. Also the doctors in this facility made me feel like I was in a assembly line no personal connection with them at all, I feel that's important or at least a smile when helping someone .
