As soon as I walked in, the smell induced salivation. That's a good thing.nnI've never been to Osmow's before so I looked at the menu for a few minutes while others placed their orders. When I got up to the counter, I let the person know that I have no idea what to order so I picked the Sunday special. Originally, I wanted medium hotness but the person recommended something lighter. I'm glad I went with that recommendation. The portion sizes for what you pay for are amazing.nnThe only problem I found is that I should've gotten two orders lolnnI ate most of it before I took the picture. I couldn't stop eating...
We did dine in for 3 people the customer service was really appreciative and food quality was perfect and delicious.nOverall experience was really good and both the employees guri and Manjeet were friendly and served very well.nRecommended place for everyone
Typically I avoid Osmow’s because the shawarma is not what it used to be. Having ate at the original Streetsville location in Mississauga, I am usually always disappointed.nnHOWEVER, this was different. The shawarma was made very well and reminded me of what Osmow’s served before becoming a chain. If you are looking for a solid shawarma in Thunder Bay, this is your spot. The meat was cooked well, the veggies were fresh and pita was perfect. Highly recommend for any Osmow’s or shawarma connoisseurs.
I recently ordered shawarma from your Thunder Bay location and, unfortunately, it was the blandest I’ve ever had. I specifically requested tahini and garlic sauce, but there was barely any in the wrap. It honestly felt like I would need to pay extra just to get a normal amount of flavor.nnPlease ensure proper portions are added next time, especially when requested. I’d really appreciate better consistency and quality moving forward.
The shawarma chain of Canada.nnWe came to this location to have some shawarma. While id had it before via skip, id never ordered in person in store.nnThe gentleman working helped us figure out how to order and he was assisted by the sticker on the counter that explains the order of choosing and options.nnTheir menu is a bit funky at first. There’s no sides for shawarmas. Everything is extra.nnI got the chicken shawarma with mild heat. It’s a strip of hot sauce they put in the food see picture of poutine and I found that to be quite spicy. Next time id go for no spice. The veggies were the best part. Crispy and crunchy, they tasted so fresh. I also went for tahini and garlic sauce mix as recommended which was also super tasty. The meat was cooked nicely and it was moist. It came out warm and toasted.nnMy partner has a poutine shawarma version. He enjoyed it but it wasn’t his favourite. He’d been hoping there would be some crunchy veggies available on it, but it didn’t come that way. He wished he’d ordered a shawarma instead as the mix of shawarma innards and fries made for a strange combo. I’m not sure why so many places wanna make everything into poutines.nnHe also ordered the chicken shawarma bites which ended up being just chicken nuggets with a shawarma sauce, so that was sort of underwhelming. They were good but they weren’t what you would think would come out.nnWe will likely return in our travels at some point or another.nnThis location is in a strip mall that has ample parking.
