Here is a comparison of the same order. First one from this location. Tiny amount of toppings not worth $2.25 extra and forgot the tomato I asked for And the other photo is the Ajax location where I’ve have rated 5 star You can see the care and quality difference clearly..
So unfortunately I’m going to leave another review of this restaurant. My first dish there was fantastic despite my mention for being veggies in an earlier review. I decided that since my first platter was so delicious that I’d order Osmow’s for the whole family on New Years Day. Big Mistake! First off, the phone goes to the answering machine all the time and the machine isn’t even set up. Secondly, my order was butchered! That gray chicken in the pic below was supposed to be my chicken shawarma platter with tahini and garlic sauce, however I didn’t get tahini or garlic sauce, I got some sort of butter/pungent sauce and powdery spice that was inedible. The chicken was so dried out that there were several parts that couldn’t be eaten. Then they also forgot the two sides I ordered of, grilled veggies and rice. My family member found not one, not two, but three chunks of bone in his dish, and my grandmother’s dish didn’t have the extra gravy like asked. Some might question if the restaurant was busy, but they weren’t, we went in to pick it up and the restaurant was quite quiet. I definitely would not/will not recommend Osmow’s Bowmanville after this most recent experience and I definitely will never order from there again. $70 down the drain.
Unfortunately almost every time I order something from here it ends up being wrong or broken. In this photo, my wrap was severed down the whole side and I was only able to eat half of it before it completely burst apart. I also ordered chicken shawarma instead of beef. It tasted lovely but was inedible at the end.
Ordered a chicken shawarma platter, no fries said at least 5 times. Received beef, fries, some weird excuse for garlic sauce. And had to pay extra for pitas. All put together in the most unappetizing mess of a platter. Will not be returning.
A large order for 8 people was placed on line for pick up. When the order was brought to staff after 15 minute drive to get there then back several sides were missing from the order. A call was placed to the restaurant where I was told they made no error and refused to rectify the situation with either partial refund or delivery of the items they failed to provide. When pressed as to why they would not help resolve their error they hung up on me. Quite possibly the rudest staff with zero customer service skills. As a company that orders lunch for staff regularly we will ensure our money is not spent here again but rather at an establishment that values good customer service.
I feel like this place isn't what it used to be. Tonight when we ordered through skip, we had no hot sauce as requested and were surprised to find a gigantic long hair in my husband's dish. Disgusting. Where's the quality control! :
Been coming to osmows for years now always have great tasting meals. Tonight however was a different story. First we tried to call to order ahead and we’re put on hold, we sat on hold for a while before deciding to just go into the restaurant to order. When I went inside to order I could tell they were very busy. I then was called to order my food where I had to repeat myself multiple times given this I had confirmed my order, When I was given my order I had received one meal that was a smaller size than I ordered I also received tomatoes on my meal. I did not even mention this. I understand all businesses have their busy nights but when my husband went in to try to fix the mistake they argued saying I got exactly what I ordered. Definitely will be going to another location from now on. Dietary restrictions: Allergic to tomatoes
be careful when you eat here They charge so much, mess up your food and then offer you some extra sauce next time u come by. What kind of customer service is this? I just paid $33 for a large chicken on the rocks and a shawarma wrap. I got hot sauce on the rice and no white sauce when i asked for no hot sauce and more white sauce. I called the store and they say next time u come we will give u white sauce. NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN!
I really liked this place before but worers are not professional. I ordered chicken salad and Sticks. french fries The stuff said ready in 5 min. But, worers were watching soccer game on TV and they were forgetting fries. I was waiting 15 min. Unfortunately, the fries were over cooked.
I love shawarma and was super disappointed. Dry meat, dry rice, dry salad yes it was dry and old covered in Mayo sauce not authentic tahini or garlic sauce. Never again
