Glad I tried them. The part I was looking for was OEM replacement 25% cheaper than the aftermarket product on-line. Staff was excellent with me, even after I gave my model number incorrectly from memory…staff was not rude at all as another review stated. Staff gave me advice on how to remove a broken part of my latch….I will try here for parts first before I go online. Thanks OAS!!!!
My daughter suggested I reach out to Oshawa Appliance when my stove was not working. Not being a "fix-it" kind of person, I was a bit hesitant. I need not have been! Hilda was very knowledgeable. After describing the issue to her, she suggested that the part I thought I needed may not have been tht problem. She was right! In 24 hours, I picked up the right part, and fixed it myself. sorry repair guy! Thanks Hilda. Not only for your advice, but for empowering me to try other projects.
You won't get anymore knowledgeable than Hilda! The business is over 67 years and she knows the industry inside and out!! I wish freeloaders would value her experience and time and not use her as a backdoor to being cheap! Parts are expensive EVERYWHERE! We should all support LOCAL companies and NOT Amazon or China!! You just don't get good customer service anymore, so I am happy to order through Oshawa Appliance Parts.
I would say not the friendliest place, call ahead and ask if they have the part but get ready for some rude and impatient responses. The store also looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since 1985 and the parts are overpriced for sure. I got what I needed and an extra part just in case and I doubt I could return the one I didn’t need without a headache. For some reason the person at the counter kept the bags and the part number just handed me the parts, I found that very strange.
Fabulous knowledgeable service from the lady running the shop. The store itself is a little shocking when you first walk in and see the mountains of appliance parts but I definitely wouldn’t go anywhere else if I need a part again.
HORRIBLE!!!! If I could give 1 start I would. I was scammed. I was assured that resetting the motherboard on my fridge would resolve all my problems. I specifically asked would there be any parts required. I was told no. This would fix my problem. The repair person insisted on payment up front. After 2 minutes my fridge started beeping and the repair person told me I required a new ice maker and water valve that was going to cost me an addition $450 on top of the $320 I already paid for resetting the mother board. The repair person spent more time in my bathroom then he did with my fridge. I'm now out $320 and am no better off than when I started. Stay clear of these scammers. Find anyone else!!!
I have been a customer of Oshawa Appliances for 20+ years and have enjoyed great customer service on each visit. I like the straightforward and honest advice that I receive. They are the "go to" store for everything to do with appliances!!

Love this place, after waiting for the gentlemen in front of me to finish, the parts lady lady knew exactly what I needed just by looking at my used oven element from a distance, before I had even reached the counter. Sure enough she found a replacement which has been difficult to find , Its a 1/4 inch condenser end and most big box stores don't carry it, Sure I could replace it and order it on line for 2 and half times what she charged me. Thank you for the wonderful service. Highly recommend this store.
I have had a very mixed experience with this place. A few years ago I took in a mixer they looked at it right away just said it needed to be cleaned out and it was fine. I was in and out in 10 minutes awesome. 6 months ago I took in that same mixer I just got it back today conveniently after questioning about it on Facebook. Don't get me wrong I understand that there's a pandemic going on but every time I would call no one would answer I sent a few text messages and got some excuse why she never got back to me. Pricing is good however I think they're really suffering with the pandemic and customer service is not great. The owner was pleasant and friendly but again I think six months is a little bit long to wait for a mixer part. and of course every time I called I got this excuse and that excuse and this excuse and that excuse. Just being honest .
